Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Amazing Book
Revisado: 11-25-21
I absolutely loved this book. It’s a very imaginative, compelling story. I loved the narration by Michael Kramer but really disliked the chapters by Kate Reading. It was just very jarring to get into the rhythm of one narrator and then have to switch over to the other. However, it didn’t stop me from finishing, and adoring this amazing book.

Orm is then captured by the Moors in Spain, where he fights for the Caliph of Cordova. Escaping from captivity, Orm washes up in Ireland, where he marvels at those epicene creatures, the Christian monks, and from which he then moves on to play an ever more important part in the intrigues of the various Scandinavian kings and clans and dependencies.

Great introduction to Chandler
Revisado: 01-14-21
This was my first book by Raymond Chandler, and I really enjoyed it. Ray Porter also did a great job with narration, and really brought the characters alive for me. This book was short and sweet, but very entertaining.

He challenged the greatest empire on earth with a ragtag bunch of renegades and brought it to its knees. This is the real story of the pirates of the Caribbean. Henry Morgan, a 20-year-old Welshman, crossed the Atlantic in 1655, hell-bent on making his fortune. Over the next three decades, his exploits in the Caribbean became legendary. I loved everything about this book. The writing delivered a clear, concise and entertaining story about not only the Pirates and Henry Morgan, but the European powers of the time. And the narration was absolutely magnificent! I actually found this book searching for other works narrated by John H. Mayer. If you like this book and want more of the same narrator check out The Floor of Heaven.

I've become a big Ken Follett fan recently, and this was my favorite book yet. I can see why this book is mentioned as his most famous. The story was hugely entertaining, and John Lee's narration is simply stunning.
