I remember the first time that I read Voodoo Moon. I was in love with the characters and the world. I had never read a book where dystopia and paranormal merged so well together and keep me engrossed into the entire story.
Fiona Moon is a member of Nash City's Black Blade Guard. She combines both magic and fighting and just makes for a kick a$$ chick. (there really is no other way to aptly describe Fiona) She loves her job and is fiercely loyal to her friends and family.
A new case comes along that she wants to work. Her boss thinks that she would be the one for the job, but the catch is that she has to work with the last person that she thinks she can't stand.
Ian Barroes is a Master Necromancer. He is rich and powerful and only wants one woman - Fiona Moon. Fiona, despises everything that Ian is for. She knows that he is the best one for the job but would rather do anything else then admit that.
As the job of finding who is abducting people around Nash City is getting more dangerous, the tension between Ian and Fiona lights up. Ian is more then willing to lose himself to Fiona, but Fiona is fighting for everything she is worth.
Rebecca Roberts does an amazing job in bringing all the characters of Nash City alive. I love the passion in her voice as Fiona. She brings the whole book to light and puts herself with the characters.
Not only is this a must read by June Stevens Westerfield, but Rebecca Roberts is a must listen to for the series. I hope that she will be the voice for the rest of the series if they go to audio.

I am a huge fan of Alicia Michaels. When I had the opportunity to listen to Daughter of the Red Dawn, I was super excited. I had no idea that The Lost Kingdom of Fallada series was on audio.
When reading the story, the kingdom of Fallada is so well described that a great picture can be formed in the readers mind. But when listening to it, the kingdom pops out and you can almost touch it.
Listening to the Daughter of the Red Dawn was just amazing. The voices are alive for each of the characters.
Selena has always known she was different. Being raised by her grandmother has been different but she knows she is loved by her. One day she gets approached by Titus and she finds out how different she is. She is the first of the 7 princesses to be returned to the lost kingdom of Fallada to save it.

I am not a huge science fiction fan, but the cover and the price (its FREE) drew me in to read the book.
I really liked the print version, but liked the audio so much better.
I received the audio version from the author for an honest review
2500 years in the future from now, life has been settled on Mars because the Earth exists but not for human life. From the civilization on Mars, it is ruled by the Syndicate, where they expect the people of Mars to follow and believe all that they say or do. Freedom of speech and religion have no place with the Syndicate.
Serus works for the Agency. It is kind of a police force, but it is definitely not what we now know as a police force. The Agency is forced to follow the Syndicate and they are forced to kill who ever takes a contract out on anyone.
Serus is following an order when he finds out that his sister has a contract on her. When he was taken by the Syndicate for the Agency, he had to give up his family and his life as he knew it. But since his sister is his only remaining family, he wants to keep her safe.
Serus and Kara have no idea who they can trust and things are changing for the people of Mars. No is sure who they can trust.
If you are in to sci fi books, the Dead Planet series is a great start for anyone. Can't wait to read more because I want to find out what happens with Kara and Serus!

Having both read and listened to the audio of Losing Logan, I have to say it is amazing!!!
Zoe is still battling her own things when her former best friend Logan dies of an apparent suicide. She is at his wake when she sees him and wonders what game he is trying to play.
Logan is not sure what happened to him the night he dies. He knows that something isn't right as he has stayed. The only person that can seem to see him is Zoe.
Between Logan and Zoe they are on a mission to find out how Logan died. But Zoe gets changed along the way and finds that she likes the new her.
Losing Logan is full of teenage vernacular that is hilarious throughout the book. Enter in Carlos, Zoe's gay best friend and the book is fabulous. (the character of Carlos is not over the top. He is a sweet character that really supports Zoe)
Reading the book made me cry, but listening to it made me sob the ugly tears.
