Carolyn Astfalk takes time with her romantic couples, letting their relationships grow in a more natural and realistic manner than most authors in her genre. Her Catholicism is apparent but not pushy --her character development is faith-based. You don't have to be Catholic to enjoy this sweet Christmas romance, but it does help with the nuances. Narrator is clear and even in her delivery.

Spoiler alert. The happy ending of this book is more than a bit twisted. Interesting plot twists and likable, though damaged characters. Definitely a page-turner and it will keep you guessing until the end.
