Historia
With less than a month left to prepare the Earth for what is about to happen, Silas must pull out all the stops to save as many people as possible. Of course, if one system wasn't bad enough, Earth has been declared a contested world. Now, it isn't just the Earth competing any longer but at least two systems trying to gain control of the Earth.

Ramping Up
Revisado: 02-25-25
The pace accelerated towards induction. Final pre-induction questions are answered as the reader is prepared to be yeeted into an entirely different landscape by the author. The potential scope of the plot expands and the pace of the timeline accelerates until finally crashing you into the final chapter (a devastating cliffhanger ofcourse).
My only complaint is that Mr. Sean Oswald does not write faster, and that our beloved Travis Baldree is horrifically (and literally) "overbooked".
Hurry up and take more of my money.
Thanks,
DC

Lots of gas in the tank
Revisado: 11-01-24
Many series get tired as they drag on. Not so with this one, each is better than the last, and the author needs to write faster.

Topping off the tank.
Revisado: 03-28-24
Dear A.F. Kay... here I am thinking the series is winding down, and coming to an end, and all those loose ends will get neatly tied up. Clearly you have something else in mind. There are now more questions than ever, and a vast new range of possible answers to those questions. Your stamina as a writer is remarkable, and I look forward to the next book.

Historia
Kelvin Wiltshire lives the life of a simple cook in a remote village on the far side of Trendham. The townsfolk think little of the man and his son and believe him to be just another refugee from the Terabinian war. On cold winter nights, they share rumors of the bloody conflict and the mysterious death of Will Cartwright, the mighty mage who had the power to command storms. They like the new cook. They fear the fallen king. But the two men are one and the same.

Major comeback!
Revisado: 08-30-23
The last two books in this series were admittedly hard to get through as a reader. I stuck around out of morbid curiosity and a love for Mr. Reynolds narration, as well as to support Mr. Manning. This book brings back some life into the world, and I can not be more happy with the story or the narration. Many questions answered, many more raised, new characters with infinite possible storyline for continuation. Will definitely pre-order the next one as soon as it is offered. So write the man a check and tell him to get back to writing!

Historia
The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains. But the Reaper is also Darrow, born of the red soil of Mars: a husband, a father, a friend. The worlds once needed the Reaper. But now they need Darrow. Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

A great book about a bad story.
Revisado: 08-07-23
Some books we churn through pages to find a happy ending, for others a daring triumph, but this story we stand rapt in muted horror, anticipation, and outrage. This is all made worse because it seems so realistic, atleast from a behavioralist perspective. This book shows the bright spots of humanity, and how our darkness will not leave the whole unblighted. This is a really good book, but a horrific story. I reluctantly admit..... I'll buy the next one too, just to see how it ends, though it seems it never does. As within, so without, I suppose.

Historia
The Academy of Chaenbalu has stood against magic for centuries. Hidden from the world, acting from the shadows, it trains its students to detect and retrieve magic artifacts, which it jealously guards from the misuse of others. Because magic is dangerous: Something that heals can also harm, and a power that aids one person may destroy another. Of the academy’s many students, only the most skilled can become Avatars - warrior thieves, capable of infiltrating the most heavily guarded vaults - and only the most determined can be trusted to resist the lure of magic.

Slow start, strong finish.
Revisado: 07-03-23
As with most epics the story builds slowly, cultivating a strong base for the protagonists character development. This gives the series a sluggish start, but about halfway through the book hits second gear and begins to accelerate quickly. The book screams towards the end with plot twists, story line development and finishes very strong. The epilogue gives us a tantalizingly glimpse of what the next book will do to our dear protagonist, and I for one certainly intend to find out how the story goes from here.

Gripping Read.
Revisado: 06-07-23
There is enough story in this book to write 4 more. Mr. Wight managed to squeeze everything into this book and pull Cradle to a close without losing the reader. I am sad to see the job rushed but must admit that the concentrated series of events made for a gripping Read without becoming incoherent due to the haste. This is likely one of the best conclusions I have ever read, and I am glad I pre-ordered the book.
Thanks also to Travis for his consistent excellent performance throughout the entire epic. Someone please express to this man my deepest gratitude. Travis Baldree has managed to bring the magic of many books to me while I operate in my mundane life. Gratitude.

Good actionable information.
Revisado: 05-03-23
I am writing this review because another reader's review that the book was not useful for adults but rather caregivers of young adults.
This is simply not the case, there are lectures about brain development but there is also actionable information to improve your own memory and mental capacity. I would guess that this reader did not stick around past the second chapter, if they listened at all.

What The F**k
Revisado: 12-15-22
Absolutely gripping read, but the storyline and character development is tantamount to a child kicking over a sandcastle after having built it. There is a bit of cyclical irony when viewed on a macro scale, though many questions are left. There is room for book 6, if anyone has the heart to read on.
