Historia
Author of the National Book Award-winning All the Pretty Horses, Cormac McCarthy is one of the most provocative American stylists to emerge in the last century. The striking novel Blood Meridian offers an unflinching narrative of the brutality that accompanied the push west on the 1850s Texas frontier.

An American Classic
Revisado: 08-24-21
The narration is excellent. McCarthy draws a dark portrait of the borderlands of Mexico with prose characters that are unforgettable.

Historia
Amid the fear following 9/11 and other recent terror attacks, it is easy to forget the most important fact about terrorist campaigns: the always come to an end - and often far more quickly than expected. Contrary to what many assume, when it comes to dealing with terrorism it may be more important to understand how it ends than how it begins.

Great book bad narrator
Revisado: 09-25-16
The content of the book is excellent. This book is a must read in the subject matter. The narrator had some very strange pronunciations of words. I found this very distracting.

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

Any additional comments?
This is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone. My only problem was the censoring of words throughout the work. The spectacular inappropriateness of this just amazing. This is not a young adult novel nor is audible a publicly open platform. The idea that audible would modify what is essentially a scientific and philosophical work is absolutely repugnant. This was the only issue I had with this audio book. If you can find an uncensored version of the work, I would highly recommend buying it instead.
