I can’t believe I listened to 11 hours just to be completely destroyed. Sorry, but spoiler alert: we should be embracing the same acceptance that men have with an age gap relationship, not crying over its non-acceptance.

Unexpectedly Loved Him

He was a serious a-hole for most of the book but redemption finally came. I understand her meekness because of her life and it was heartwarming to see her mature with confidence.

Finally. Another Great MC Romance Series!

By now I’ve listened to over a thousand romances. I lean toward the dark and MC series and have listened to many, only a few being great. This series is off to a very good start with voices that imply the characters perfectly.

Read the book originally and listened to entire series. The TV series can’t outshine Davina Porter’s voice portrayals. Her interpretations of the characters and they’re accents and humor are the REAL people.

It has all the feels. Very few sex scenes but they wouldn’t have worked as the story was so real and emotional.

I love J. A. Huss stories. This is a rare stand-alone. Complex as usual and keeps you guessing until the end. Well worth the credit if you like it on the dark side with a HEA.

Good story but not the best author.

So much cliché. I love hot sex in my romances but it seemed like it was thrown in just to be sexy. The story line was complex and executed well enough. Skyler Morgan does a great job as a male lead but his narration voice doesn’t change between characters so at times I have to stop and remember who’s thoughts are being narrated. And then there were a few controversies in the story. Minor ones. Over all, if you want some hotness and mafia, this is for you.

Absolutely worth the listen!

First time experience with this author and the depth in which she writes was surprisingly refreshing. I put off listening because I expected a civil war drama but instead I was taken away in a deeply touching experience of love and courage and the strength of the human spirit.
Book one does not end in a cliffhanger but because I feel connected to all the characters, I have purchased the next book in the series.
I’ve listened to the narrator before and he’s perfect for the series. His character and gender changes are consistent and believable.
