Historia
Five years after the event that drove most of the global population to madness, the world is overrun with the “fevered”—once-human, zombielike creatures drawn indiscriminately to violence and murder. In a campaign to restabilize the country, the massive corporation known as Terradyne Industries has merged with the U.S. government in a partnership of dubious motives, quarantining major American cities behind towering walls and corralling the afflicted there with the hope, they say, of developing a vaccine.

Story held back by awful narrator
Revisado: 10-11-24
Worst narrator I’ve ever come across. Barely any type of character work aside from raising the pitch of her voice and adding glottal fry.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

This was supposed to be good?
Revisado: 12-22-23
Did not finish. I was a third of the way through and nothing happened. I read the mistborn series and it was ok but this was a dreary slog. I guess I can safely say I’m not a Sanderson fan.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

The best audiobook yet?
Revisado: 10-30-23
This story was a total blast from beginning to end. Weir is brilliant, and the narration by Ray Porter is one the greatest I’ve ever heard.

Fantastic concept
Revisado: 01-31-23
Story is very good but it gets way too bogged down in mathematics and physics. At times it feels more like a textbook than a novel. Still ready to start the next book immediately.
