Historia
The Carmichaels and the Grahams have gathered on Nantucket for a wedding. Plans are being made according to the wishes of the bride's late mother, who left behind The Notebook: specific instructions for every detail of her youngest daughter's future nuptials. Everything should be falling into place for the beautiful event - but in reality, things are far from perfect. While the couple-to-be are quite happy, their loved ones find their own lives crumbling.

Boring
Revisado: 01-04-25
Compared to her other books, this one lacked excitement and was quite boring. Kept waiting for something big to happen.

Historia
Leigh Beth Stilton has never liked the holidays. After growing up in an unstable home, escaping an abusive marriage, and witnessing daily tragedies as an EMT, Leigh just can’t bring herself to care about Christmas cheer. In fact, she’s so convinced she’s not worth loving that one winter’s eve, she decides she can’t go on—until she comes across a book called Bethel and starts to read. Leigh is unfamiliar with the author, J.D. Harper, but his words speak directly to her. She’s never felt so seen and understood, and this connection gives her the strength to carry on.

I absolutely love RPE’s books! They’re light and easy to read. They never drag. I loved this book very much!

Following the unexpected death of her father, eighteen-year-old Layken becomes the rock for both her mother and younger brother. She appears resilient and tenacious, but inside, she's losing hope. Then she meets her new neighbor Will, a handsome twenty-one-year-old whose mere presence leaves her flustered and whose passion for poetry slams thrills her. Lame Teenage Love Story

Not my favorite of Hoover’s. Another teenage love story that lacked a hook. Very predictable.

Historia
Maggie Beaumont's luck is about to change. Sure, she's known for her bad romantic choices-her former boyfriend broke up with her by bringing his new girlfriend home for a visit. And then there was the crush she had on a gorgeous young Irishman, who turned out to be Father Tim, the parish's new priest. But romantic salvation has arrived in the form of handsome, if surly, fisherman Malone. It turns out there's a heart of gold underneath his barnacle-clad exterior. Will this catch of the day turn into the dish of a lifetime?

Captivating!
Revisado: 12-11-23
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but this certainly wasn’t it! It enjoyed it very much! It didn’t drag on with boring details or characters. It kept me wanting to listen more to see what happened next. The twist at the end was surprising because I was trying to figure out why she chose Monique to do the book. While I did not like the abortion or constant GDs, I did overall liked this story. I think we all have a person we let slip away; maybe not a lesbian love affair, or maybe, but most of us could relate in some fashion. Just maybe.

Historia
Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Jill is Brave
Revisado: 09-22-23
What a brave thing to do! I’m sure this was very hard for her to do, but she did it. Jim Bob should be ashamed of himself for the way he treats his daughter. He should be investigated for tax fraud. I’ve followed the family for years and really thought they had it all together. I guess they don’t after all.
