The Female lead was difficult to like

I first read the Twilight books years ago before the movies. Then I waited years watching one movie at a time (like many). Yet, I now realize I never truly got Edward. I mean I wasn't as clueless as Bella 😆, I knew that broodiness was angsty as hell underneath those angry moments. Knowing there is more to come as well, and finally seeing the puzzle pieces missing from Bella's perspective is just what I needed. I hope this becomes a movie especially focusing on Alice & Edwards mental connections as they work out plans. Narrator was wonderful as well.

I love Jason Clarke. However, this story is two selfish, whiney ass people, wallowing in a constant pity party when a few simple conversations could have fixed everything.

5 Arrows straight in the 🎯

L.J. Shen is like a home run queen. 👑 She knocks it out the park every single time but this time she hit a grand slam. Bringing the loaded bases together for something bigger and better. Bringing a piece of Todo Santos to the world of Troy and Sparrow to ultimately introduce an entire new cast of characters while concluding an already beloved series is the perfect crossover. The unending fulfillment of coming full circle where one thing ends perfectly as another flawlessly begins. A true work of Art by an amazing talent who I sit waiting (okay fine, not so patiently) to read her next thrilling & breathtakingly romantic asshole alpha😆 adventure.

I loved this story. It was sweet and angsty. Well developed characters. Jacob and Andi were truly amazing and giving life to not only the main two characters but also Doc who I just fell in love with was next level. Jacob Morgan + British accent = off the charts sexy.

5 'OBTUSE QUEEN' STARS

OMG! I have never wanted to shake sense into a character more! I wish wish wish we had gotten som Kiran POV's in this story because Eden thinks too damn much. He so obviously loves her but she continually tells herself he doesn't and reminds herself she has moved on. Honey if you have to remind yourself then you have NOT moved on lol. Bailey Carr is Amazing and really brings this story to life.

*TESSA SANS COMMON SENSE AKA OBTUSE DRAMA QUEEN*

Bullying, Eating Disorder, Self-harm and self-deprecation personified!!!! I am a couple hours into this book and I want to shove graphic crime scene photos into this girls vision. Sometimes it is hard for people to realize that their problems REALLY are not that bad. Jay is a dick driven pussy whipped coward. The ex-best friend is on a power trip because she is allowed to be. Bragging about a 4.0 GPA while the main character shows no sign of intelligence. There is no way this should drag out 26 hours and still end on a cliffhanger.
The character is 18, still in high school but cannot even make herself a home cooked meal. "... let the devil in my house for food". She complains about her mom not cooking anymore but never eats because SURPRISE she use to be fat. There are so many contradictions already I just cannot fathom wtf another 13 plus hours can bring. I will update this review as needed if I can take it.
All that said the narration is well done. Other than the mispronunciation of a couple words during the reading it was overall well done.
Roughly 9 hours in they went to a dance, she finally realized she likes the boy, somebody made Lasagna, and she is going to attempt to cook bc her friend is having a rough time. She gives advice to her friends and even thinks how she would be a good motivational speaker but never considers taking her own advice when she is SO MUCH MORE IN NEED OF SAID ADVICE!! She constantly degrades herself and validates herself that she is no longer the "fat loser" she use to be. I mean it is like the author has no concept of healthy self-esteem because this character is so far from it with absolutely no clue.
I had to take a break and listen to another book or three because I feel like this book is droning on without any real plot. I mean the character is so passive-aggressive that even though they paint her ex-friend as this big bullying villain it reads aimlessly reeking of self-pity and complacency.
WTF did I seriously just listen to … why does Cole sound like a 40 year old man lol? Oh dear god. This book just has no real structure as far as plot goes.

Melodramatic Heroin

This chic is really not in touch with who she is and it shows in every facet of her life. She denies her own brother not wanting anyone to know or judge her based on... who he is yet she constantly internally dialogs on "who other people are", omg she is or he is … you would THINK someone who doesn't want to be judged based on these things wouldn't judge others based on that. Then she goes around hitting and grabbing people like a bad ass while constantly questioning EVERYTHING. To the point she can barely order food on her own. However, all that said, even though the character drives me a little bit crazy, Tijan is wonderful at creating such complex characters and you can't put down the book. It would have been better to get a bit more of Shay's background and internal dialog. A dual POV would have been better.

I loved this story

Dash and Willow have such distinct personalities. I am really glad they were not changed or given traits just to be able to write the same sex scenes. I like when characters' personalities are maintained. I noticed that was not so much the case in the last book featuring Keenan and Sheldon. The narrators are amazing throughout this entire series.
