Historia
On the Yorkshire moors, celebrated author Faye Mathis is coming to terms with her early-onset dementia. She has begun writing her memoir, committing her past to paper before her memory betrays her. But her family history is full of gaps, bloodlines cut short, family ties all ending in knots. When a picture of Faye – dirty and dishevelled, stumbling alone on the moors – goes viral, her life is thrown into chaos. Faye is convinced she is not that person in the photograph. But how can she be sure?

Great storyline, but approach with caution
Revisado: 04-30-25
I was so incredibly disappointed in this listen!
The story is so unique with a totally unexpected twist, but the audio is I N S U F F E R A B L E. I have no idea why it was necessary to include random musical interludes and completely useless sound effects, but it ruined the entire book for me. Hearing life-like noises (sirens, phones ringing, doorbells) in an audiobook really just ate at my nerves and took away from what would’ve been an excellent story.

Historia
Criminologist Martin Knight lives a gilded life and is a thorn in the side of the police. But then his wife, Liz, goes missing. There is no good explanation and no sign of Martin.... To make things worse, Liz is the ex-girlfriend of DCI Craig Gillard who is drawn into the investigation. Is it just a missing person or something worse? And what relevance do the events around the shocking Girl F case, so taken up by Knight, have to do with the present? The truth is darker than you could ever have imagined.

Hard to follow
Revisado: 08-27-24
Honestly, I really liked the narrator and thought the story could go somewhere. However, the plot line was all over the place from the beginning and I stopped listening at a very graphic description of murder in Chapter 5.

Historia
Ferrying tourists around Dublin for the Leprechaun Limo Service makes quite a change after years in the military. Still, Megan Malone is enjoying her life in Ireland. She likes the scenery, the easy pace, the quirky, quick-witted locals. Everything - except having one of her clients drop dead at the statue of fabled fishmonger, Molly Malone. Most restaurant critics notch up their share of enemies. Elizabeth Darr, however, was a well-loved international star. She and her husband, Simon, had just had dinner when Elizabeth collapsed, and spoiled seafood is the first suspect.

I couldn't get past the narration
Revisado: 03-05-23
I'm sure the narrator is a lovely person, but the strange reverse vocal fry (each sentence ends in a downturn) was so distracting that after three attempts, making it about three minutes into Chapter 2, I just gave up.
