Historia
A thrilling BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation based on CJ Sansom's best-selling Tudor crime novel. Winter, 1537. Henry VIII has declared himself Supreme Head of the Church and instructed his Chief Minister, Thomas Cromwell, to dissolve England's religious houses and seize their wealth. But Cromwell's plot to bring down the abbeys has hit a snag - one of the King's Commissioners has been found brutally murdered in Scarnsea monastery, on the south coast of Kent.

Good story with interesting history, but difficult to listen to because of the volume issues mentioned below
Revisado: 08-13-24
Poor audio quality with too much quiet to loud range, a challenge to listen to on headphones or in the car because of Frequent volume adjustment

Historia
Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can’t fix their own marriage. There’s a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else and a young couple who are about to have their first child but can’t seem to agree on anything.

Made me laugh out loud!
Revisado: 11-12-20
The anxiety is exquisitely written into the dialogue. Probably I enjoyed it more for the clever narration than if I had read it but I know I will reread/relisten to it for the twists and turns and humanity of it. Wish I had listened on month 2 of the pandemic because it takes some of the edge off.

Historia
College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same. Carl is a dying Vietnam veteran-and a convicted murderer. With only a few months to live, he has been medically paroled to a nursing home after spending thirty years in prison for the crimes of rape and murder.

Great start, shalllw predictable second half
Revisado: 08-15-19
Really enjoyed the complexity of the characters to start but lost all interest with predictable sex and chase scenes and unlikely survival scenes that made the main character into a roadrunner like character “popping out from under the falling piano”
