Historia
In "Undead Sublet" by Molly Harper, executive chef Tess Maitland is banned from her five-star kitchen in Chicago to recover from "exhaustion". Choosing a random rental house in Half-Moon Hollow to spend time in, she's unaware that the house comes with a strange man. Even though Sam Masden's ex-wife has rented the house out from under him, the divorce settlement allows him access to it for another ninety days. With Tess unable to go anywhere else, and Sam unwilling, a war of epic proportions is declared - and romantic sparks and heavy pots fly.

Historia
Clare's grown very fond of Alfred Glockner, the part-time comic and genuinely jolly charity Santa who's been using her coffeehouse as a place to warm his mittens. When she finds him gunned down in a nearby alley, a few subtle clues convince her that Alfred's death was something more than the tragic result of a random mugging, despite the conclusions of the police. Between baking delicious Christmas goodies and fending off the attentions of a persistent professional elf, Clare sets out to solve St. Nick's murder.

Fun listen, but not great.
Revisado: 02-25-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The story was a little more saccharine than I expected. The author attempted to add elements of suspense and red herrings, but it just seemed like the story jumped around too much.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The characters were extremely likable, which is why I finished the book. I wanted to see what happened to them.
What does Rebecca Gibel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her narration of the book was well done. She brought out the elements of sarcasm that helped with the character development.
Did Holiday Grind inspire you to do anything?
Holiday Grind was not inspirational at all.
