Obviously I like the series because i'm on the midd le of the series but for some rea son the author of this particular volume decided that the woman who is the main protagonist would find each guy she saw as attractive if he was muscular. none of the other authors had people commenting on the attractiveness of their evil men. what's the difference? this one had a female as the main character, the others are all male 1

I live in Cental Florida in a little town called Frostproof (it was the cheapest place to move from Orlando at the time and now I'm stuck here for the foreseeable future) this book reminded me of most of my neighbors and just made me grimace. I kept hoping for a laugh but instead was shaking my head in disgust.

giant leaps of logic

I got this book as part of my audible membership and I did listen through the whole thing because the story was entertaining enough, I have to say though that there were plenty of leaps of logic I guess or just playing 7 plain simple common sense especially in the fact that they were all mad at her for hiding her identity and lying to them when they were on a game show and only had known her for a few months. Then the whole falling in love with the enemy in less than 2 days really?

decent story great narrative

it was a decent story it kept me occupied during other tasks oh, the narrator was great I took off points because the story did kind of give me a headache at one point that's probably because I'm so tired of political discourse even if it is satire

I don't know if it's the narrater delivery or the story itself but I'm at chapter 17 and I'm always losing focus easily and not particularly bothered if I miss a paragraph or two. foremost audiobooks if I find myself distracted by driving or something else in the real world I will rewind the book to listen to what I missed, so that can tell you about how interesting this book is. I'm going to go and see if Audible will refund me a credit but they've been quite a stickler about that so far and I am already into chapter 17. if they don't refund the credit I will listen to the rest of the book If I can stand it and if it somehow redeems itself I will change the review.

Finished "The Boy on the Bridge" and now "The Girl with all the Gifts" is cued, I've watched the movie and read all of the author's other books. The first chapter or three were a bit of a slog in TBWATG because I didn't care for any of the characters and I think that is by design because the story really isn't about any individual but rather an examination of what makes a cohesive group and the human motivations that always muck things up. Who needs monsters when your coworkers and neighbors are around?

Ugh. Motorcycle gang terminology and underpinnings

I liked the first book but the second had so much romantized Biker Gang rules and laws it made me wonder if the author is a part of a misogynistic gang in real life.
