Interesting take on the genre spoiled by the end

First of all, kudos for dreaming up a scenario when a cook can be the star of a LitRPG. I thoroughly enjoyed the first and most of the second book right until the final showdown. But that final battle or lack thereof was just lazy writing. And the following events are even lazier. Here ends the spoiler free complaining, proceed at your own risk!

**SPOILER ALERT**

Ok, so the author spent both books telling us that tiering is a big thing, a huge risk in terms of gear, very expensive, bla bla.

Then at the end the big baddie with a guild of couple hundred folks manages to somehow find the money (millions according to the author) to push himself AND his 4 henchmen from tier 0 all the way to tier 2. Without losing ANY gear in the process (which as was established earlier mostly becomes useless tiering up).

While our hero with his wildly successful guild of 800+ players has a measly 60k in the bank.

Furthermore it was established that each tier-up takes some time for the body to adjust to, so how did they arrive to the puzzle chamber before our protagonist, who was taking a shortcut?

Lazy, lazy, lazy…

That said, looking forward to how this evolves further.

Normally I like myself some mystery, conspiracy alien blah blah blah. But Junk is one of the most illogical and convoluted books I’ve ever read. The events jump all around the place, there is no character building, no believable motivation, nothing. By the end I did not know the heroes of the book any better than in the beginning and neither did I care.

Avoid at all costs, even as a free original you’ll not get back the hours you spend listening to it.

I have bought this book coming of similar ones for Everybody loves large chests. And to be honest - it completely failed to deliver. The litrpg elements are so far, few and confusing in between that it does not make sense why they are there at all. The harem element is do far an exaggeration that you could go to court with it. And the story overall is just so not believable as it is presented I don’t know what yo make of it And breaking the fourth wall pointing out just how unbelievable it is does not help to resolve the characters motivations. Do not recommend at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, it's one of the more creative sci-fi interpretations I have encountered in a while. But the narrator's performance was just appalling. He did not even attempt giving the characters there own voices. Instead he just called out the speaker by name each line. So listening to a dialogue is pure torture. I would advise the narrator to listen to anything narrated by Stephen Briggs to find out how it should be done.

I was very much disappointed with book 3 of the series. The first 2 books were original, amusing and in a way - logical. The third one on the contrary seemed to be sewn together by pieces of thread. I think you know something is off when you need a villain to explain you his evil plan for 5 minutes. Twice!!! It felt like the author just gave up trying to makes sense of the story and what the f*** is happening at some point and just took the easy way out.

If you love the original HGttG works by Douglas Adams so not spoil your impression of them by this horrible parody of his genius. The story makes no sense, the jokes are pasted on with Superglue and the thought in my mind were when it was going to end.
