Too Much Buildup
Revisado: 04-16-25
Spend WAY too much time talking about and building up to battle scenarios than actually in battle situations. A lot of boring and unnecessary information, it does not make the story more interesting at all. Take out all the extra b*llsh*t, and the book is more interesting and easier to keep up with the story.

Historia
It is April 1, 2038. Day sixty of China's blockade of the rebel island of Taiwan. The US government has agreed to provide Taiwan with a weapons system so advanced, it can disrupt the balance of power in the region. But what pilot would be crazy enough to run the Chinese blockade to deliver it? Aggressor is the first novel in a new series that looks at the conflict that could spark the next World War, through the eyes of soldiers, sailors, civilians, and aviators on all sides.

Another Military Book with Unnecessary B*llsh*t
Revisado: 03-26-25
A bunch of unnecessary information in the storyline makes it boring and hard to listen to. Too much time and unnecessary info building up to the combat scenes, then they are over without much happening. This is I think the 3rd or 4th book I’ve listened to with the Bunny O’Hara character, and even with that it’s making me hate this book. Books about War and Combat should mostly focus on WAR AND COMBAT. A little bit of extra is ok, adds to the story, but too much takes away from the war storyline and military aspect of the book. Thought this would be a promising series, but not sure I’ll make it through this 1st book, let alone the rest. Disappointed big time!

WW 3, Not! Meticulously Slow
Revisado: 03-07-25
Not quite WW 3, a plane shot down, some ships attacked in port, and a sea battle with small warcraft, all drawn out to make the story longer unnecessary longer. The story ins’t bad, but would’ve been better without the slow moving details. The action is too few and far between.
The detailed and meticulous description of every person, event, machine and system takes too long, and takes away from the action of the story. Even the main battle with small warships is much too detailed, which makes it go on and on and on.
Take out all the unnecessary things that do not move the story along and this whole book could’ve been the first 2-3 chapters in a book about WE-3. I TRULY HOPE THE SEQUEL IS NOT WRITTEN IN THE SAME FASHION!

Historia
The year is 1992. Over twenty years have passed since Soviet General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev was assassinated by a crazed gunman. Since that time, the Soviet Union has been put on a course toward economic success—and war. In the Balkans, Yugoslavia's collapse into ethnic violence draws NATO and the Warsaw Pact to the brink of Armageddon. Armies deploy and fleets maneuver. Political intrigue engulfs Moscow and Washington, and paranoia radiates from the Iron Curtain. In the zero-sum game of Cold War, neither side can afford to blink or back down.

Way Too Tedious
Revisado: 03-03-25
The poetic nature of the writing/descriptions make it more tedious than interesting. Being descriptive is fine, but ALL the poetry is unnecessary.

Poetry, It’s a War Story
Revisado: 03-03-25
Listen to first 2 books, wanted to listen to the rest, but couldn’t get past all the poetic descriptions of everything. It made telling the story longer, took away from the actual action of the story without adding any real. If you’re taking the time to paint a picture of every scene, then none of them stand out.

Halfway Through: Kinda Disappointed
Revisado: 04-20-24
I think the story is very interesting, and I like subject matter. The problem is the story is told as if it was a documentary, with the preparation of battle and war, and then the results of the battles. What I expect out of war novels, is to go through the actions of the battles, to hear how well the strategies worked, how the weapons systems performed and how it effects the characters in the story. The documentary style of telling the story completely misses this aspect. Very disappointing, because it sounds like a great story.

Too Many Details Destroyed The Story
Revisado: 02-05-24
I’m about 3/4 through this book, just decided to read reviews and do a my review, others see what I see. It’s a book about war, but you’re halfway through before there are any battles. First half is spent introducing and establishing characters (in droning detail) whom many aren’t relevant or pertinent to the story, a complete waste of time for most of it.
Then, once the conflict starts, each event becomes so detailed that it bogs down, becoming boring. So detailed, that there is no way to get through to the end of the war, without it being 5x longer.
A book about WW-3 should look at moments or events that effect the whole world or the war itself, not just the individuals involved. I thought the story was interesting, but the way it written is horrid. In the end, it seems to be more of a book about the characters in the war, and not about the war itself.
Some reviews say that there is no ending to the conflict, I hope that’s not true, but with one 1/4 left, and the way it’s written so far, I can believe that. If that is true, it will be very disappointing!

Not A Of War Or Military Battle
Revisado: 08-23-23
I thought this was about military battles and a WW-3 scenario, it’s not. What book of war and military leaves out the actual battlefield scenes? The answer is none. Not a bad storyline and the several different narrators is a great idea. However, skipping over the battles, and only mentioning the results or outcomes to move the story along is disappointing. The whole idea of a book about war and military is highlight military intelligence, technology, strategy, and action, you cannot alleviate these things and call it a World War 3 and Military Book.
