Another stone unturned for truth and freedom

My recommendation would be that this is required reading for anyone who wants their eyes opened about the truth behind the world's current condition. Yes, it may sound crazy, outlandish and impossible but history is messy; history is more than what was taught to us in school. Give it a chance with an open mind. Before reading, prayerfully ask to have truth enter your mind. Don't leave any door closed. Some things you may continue to be skeptical about but I assure you, if you listen, the enemy will be revealed to be true and still a threat, if not how you may have imagined them to be. Remember that God is above all and we can be his knights in this game of pawns.

Like the Goosebumps books but a tiny bit more grown up! you'll enjoy these books if that's your thing and it certainly was when I was a kid. I always wondered what R.L. Stine's more mature writing would be like and I was both pleasantly surprised and not surprised at all!

This is one of those stories that gives drama horror a great name. you can write a good story from a ghost's first person perspective. Run proves it. I have to admit it turned out better than I thought it would be!

while goosebumps is the reigning champ as far as name recognition, Pike is no less a master at preteen horror and adventure. I loved this story and how he describes the twists and turns of the plot. a must read for anyone just wanting to enjoy a well written and exhilarating children's adventure.

not much to change from the review I put for the first book in the series, The Secret Path. I enjoyed these books from childhood and I am enjoying them again, just about twenty years later. they are a scream!

I'm reading this almost twenty years after first discovering this series as a kid. I still love them! I never got to read all them, glad I can get more adventures of Adam and his Spooksville friends here. If you like witty preteen mystery and horror, stuff like goosebumps, this is for you.

Inspiring to the soul

this is not so much a story as a recording of experiences. which parts are completely literal and what are figurative I will ponder and pray on individually. the book made me think about many things that have to do more with myself and my standing in the grand scheme of things than of anybody else. there is wonder, pain, joy, sorrow and a whole lot of topics in this story that one could spend a lifetime exploring. I think it would be a good idea to do so. prayerfully, of course. I will be revisiting this book in the future, seeking to expand my mind even more than the first time through.
