The bullying in this book was beyond anything that I could’ve imagined. For girls that grew up in the foster system and often taken advantage of, they had no backbone. I agree with many of the other reviews, this was a lot and not in a good way. Who wouldn’t seek knowledge about a new place and new abilities? I mean there is a whole A$$ club dedicated to you succeeding and you never ask for help?!?!? Wtf??? I’m just so disappointed I can’t find the words.

What a disappointment

A bit of a let down

The book took awhile to jump off. As some of the other reviews stated the first chapter was a lot and the book doesn’t become really engaging until chapter 60 or so. I’m not sure why people say it’s too 🌶️🌶️ because in all honesty its a 1.5 on the 🌶️🌶️ level. I did enjoy the ending. The narrators versatility with the characters (excluding the MC) was a pleasant surprise but her narration of the MC was a bit lack luster because all I could hear was her narrating the characters in another series that I read. If you have time or are just a SJM fan go for it but not sure it’s worth your credits or all the hype.
