Definition of snake oil

I like meditation as a practice. This chiropractor goes on at length to bash an over dramatic ad for a vaccine. After spending a good length of time being very lax about the definitions of physics, psychology and physiology.

Garbage like this makes it hard to find good sources of information about actual mindfulness techniques.

Imagine if we took the joy out of a fun story

The story is just as good as ever. The narrator is clearly talented. Shame the decision was made to turn this into a gritty realistic(?) version. Funny characters and bits are now serious and brooding. Wish they just cleaned up the original recording. It’s fantasy without the fun.

Lot of Fun

Surprisingly heartful for a comedy adventure. The story creates a nice (simple but fitting) backstory to the character. The original characters from the story are clearly defined and also color Brandon's interactions on A&D. Ultimately if you're here I assume it's because of A&D and if you're not I'd recommend the show to continue the tale.

Orconomics is a fun and entertaining story through a fantasy world that plays with the usual building blocks of the genre. The narrator does a great job and makes the characters have....well character. Wasn't sure what to expect going into it but very happy I did. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Entertaining entry for beginners

I am not a linguist or student in the field so I can't comment on the accuracy of the information presented. However, Bryson does cite sources and I is up front about areas where there is on going debate or no clear answer. Narrator does a good job with what could be difficult material to convey without visuals.

Politics why!?

Interesting idea unfortunately gets ruined by the author blasting an astonishingly ignorant and outdated political world view into a sci-fi story. I was hoping for a Douglas Adams kind of fun sci-if story taking the mundane and placing it in the extraordinary. Instead it goes like a 13-year old take on what "cool" is matched with the outlook of an angry middle aged laid off autoworker.
