Amazing End to a saga.
Revisado: 07-14-18
Holy crap. This book was amazing start to finish. the fights were amazing and intense, and the 58ish hours flew by. And the narrator did his best job so far really bringing each of the characters to life.

Historia
Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

It's the fifth best book in the series.
Revisado: 05-06-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Monster Hunter Nemesis to be better than the print version?
Oliver Wyman is a good reader.
What did you like best about this story?
Franks being Franks.
What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Voices.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Frankenstein's monster vs the devil. (Yeah, I know he would only being dealing with fallen angels, but Cursed may or may not be Lucifer)
Any additional comments?
I felt this was the most, eh, of the series. My favorites books are 2 and 4. Maybe its because Franks is so stoic that there seems to be less humor in it. It really just gets me excited for the next book, Monster Hunter Guardian. If the trend holds up, book 6 will be amazing.

Historia
Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters is a collection of 23 stories focused around the theme of strange creatures in the vein of Pacific Rim, Godzilla, Cloverfield, and more. The anthology opens with a foreword by Jeremy Robinson, author of Project Nemesis, the highest selling Kaiju novel in the United States since the old Godzilla books - and perhaps even more than those. Then, from New York Times best sellers to indie darlings Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters features authors that are perfectly suited for writing larger-than-life stories.

It's okay.
Revisado: 05-06-16
Would you try another book from the authors and/or the narrators?
I already have most of the books Larry Correia put out, and several from Peter Clines.
Would you recommend Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters to your friends? Why or why not?
I don't know. Some of the stories were good, others meh, and some were a little too sacrilegious for me.
Would you listen to another book narrated by the narrators?
Bronson Pinchot, yep, he's good. The rest are okay.
Was Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters worth the listening time?
I think the next time I listen to it, I may skip some of the stories.
Any additional comments?
I hate to sound like an a**hole, but overall, this was okay. Some stories were good, others not so much.

I'd rather watch the movie.

If you could sum up Star Wars: The Force Awakens in three words, what would they be?
I have to use 4 words. Too much emotional description.
Would you be willing to try another book from Alan Dean Foster? Why or why not?
Eh, maybe.
Have you listened to any of Marc Thompson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
As always, Marc Thompson delivers a fantastic performance.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did listen to it in one sitting. It's not that long of an audio book.
Any additional comments?
Overall, it was okay, but I felt it had way way to much description of what people thought or felt, just to lengthen the story instead of the actions doing so. It was like Alan Dean Foster was given a copy of the script and ordered to make it a three hundred page novel, but not really allowed to add anything extra. Honestly, I felt this was one of the worst Star Wars novels to listen to, even with Marc Thompson doing his best.

It's good, but not the best in the series.
Revisado: 05-06-16
If you could sum up Project Hyperion in three words, what would they be?
Not enough fights.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
It was okay, hopefully in the next book there will be more or at least longer monster battles.
Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He always makes me think of Charlie Sheen. He is a good reader.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not enough giant monster battles.
Any additional comments?
I feel like the previous books had more giant monster battles, or at least the battles took longer in this book. Sure the humans are getting better weapons, but I came for giant monsters fighting, and it felt like much much more of this book involved the human characters fighting. It's a good book, but I don't think it's the best one in the series.

Historia
An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.

It's good, but drags at times.
Revisado: 03-14-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story is fantastic. A mix of Ocean's Eleven, The Godfather, set in a world like Krynn.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lies of Locke Lamora?
Real early in the book, Bug had to run a distraction, so he fell off the top of a building.
Which character – as performed by Michael Page – was your favorite?
I enjoyed Locke Lamora the most.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The final battle between the Gray King and Locke.
Any additional comments?
The story itself is good, the downside is that the author wrote insane amounts of description, so some scenes drag and drag and drag. I found myself speeding up the book here and there to get through some of the description. The dialogue was fantastic, yes, a bit crude with all the cussing, but funny and somewhat realistic in that way. Action scenes were great too. Just those points of description droning on and on was the only downside.
