Historia
When Agatha returns home after a sojourn in the capital, she finds a new woman ensconced in the affections of her attractive bachelor neighbor, James Lacey. The newcomer, Mary Fortune, is superior to Agatha in every way, especially when it comes to gardening. With Carsely Open Day approaching, Agatha longs for some fascinating crime to remind James of her genius for investigation and to distract him from Mary. Soon a series of assaults on the finest gardens is followed by murder when Mary herself is discovered buried upside down in a terracotta pot....

Probably good reading as a book-a bit boring
Revisado: 12-08-18
I’m sure this story would come off better if read as a book. I didn’t get a warm feeling for any character or find any of them interesting.
And there was certainly not any train theme much less a “Christmas Railway” aura. I felt a bit deceived.

Historia
Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty in her floral-print dresses and extra efficient at her low-level job. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes - meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven. But plain Jane is hiding something. And Steven’s bringing out the worst in her.

Stereotypes galore! For the entirety of the book!
Revisado: 09-12-18
If you want to hear a so so story where each character is one dimensional, shallow & beyond stereotypical-then this is for you!
I found the story just bland. I finished it as a comedy of sorts; I would chuckle at the descriptions of the characters, that’s the only reason that I finished it . It was pretty awful honestly.
So if you know this going into it & would like to be entertained (not by a good drama) at the conjuring of the worst kind stereotypes you could possibly imagine.
Bonus: you can entertain friends at lunch like I did with some funny, unbelievable descriptions!
For that alone, I don’t feel right returning it...
