My favorite of the series yet!
Revisado: 04-12-25
Wow…I don’t even have words. Each book in this series somehow gets better. So many people say this is their favorite of the series - and I can see why. So far, I think this has to be my favorite too. This book really pushed us into the real action that is to come and things have gotten really serious. With each book I finish, I look forward to the next, but also feel sad thinking I’m close to finishing this series. On to the next!

Heir of Fire
Revisado: 03-07-25
Wow…each book gets better, but also more heartbreaking. I truly could not put this book down! “Heir of Fire” really propelled the story forward. It further shaped the characters we have already met and introduced us to many new ones. I can only imagine what the next book is to bring…especially since I have seen many reviews that it is many people’s favorite of the series! I truly loved this book - I think it has been my favorite so far.

Historia
Eighteen-year-old Celaena Sardothien is bold, daring and beautiful - the perfect seductress and the greatest assassin her world has ever known. But though she won the king’s contest and became his champion, Celaena has been granted neither her liberty nor the freedom to follow her heart. Celaena faces a choice that is tearing her to pieces: kill in cold blood for a man she hates or risk sentencing those she loves to death.

Sarah J. Maas Couldn’t Write a Bad Book if She Tried
Revisado: 03-03-25
Wow…each time I read the next book in this series I tell myself it can’t get better, or more heartbreaking, or keep me wanting more…and each time I am proven wrong. Although the first 2 books I have read of this series kept me fully engaged, this one did even more so. I feel like this really launched me the rest of the way into this series. I enjoy going back and forth between both reading and listening to the audio book and I find I truly cannot put it down. I worry that if I don’t slow down on reading this series, I’ll finish it too quickly and be left with the world’s worst reading hangover…onto “Heir or Fire” I go.

Sarah J. Maas Never Disappoints!
Revisado: 02-24-25
I started the series with “Throne of Glass”, before realizing that maybe I should have read “The Assassins Blade” first. I’m actually glad that I read this book second. Although I knew ultimately what would happen, I kept wishing it wouldn’t. Reading “Throne of Glass” first, I think, helped me to not be as devastated as I would have been if I read this book first (don’t be fooled, I’m still utterly devastated and not sure I’ll ever recover). I like that I now have a better idea of who people are and how Celaena became who she is. I overall loved this book and look forward to continuing the series.

Revisado: 02-17-25
This was a quick listen for me. I love Emily McIntire and have read many of her books - they are always so easy to get into for me. This has been on my list for a while and I am overall glad I read it! There were some parts of the overall story I didn’t love, but as a whole, I would recommend. I actually enjoyed the narrators too, especially “Hook”. I’m ready to read “Hexed” next!

Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College – Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is – unless she betrays the man she loves.

Wow! I need more!
Revisado: 02-10-25
I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to this book…I heard so many mixed opinions about this book - many people said they didn’t find it exciting enough, more boring than the first, etc. To that I say - I do not understand!! I was never once bored of this book and sucked in since the first page. It is non-stop, filled with twists (some of which I didn’t see coming). To be honest, I feel I may even like this more than the first one and I LOVED the first one! This book had me in even more panic than the first one did, which is saying a lot. I’m stressed after finishing it and need to know what happens next! The thought that after I read “Onyx Storm” I have to wait who knows how long to continue on makes me sick to my stomach a little, I won’t lie, lol. Overall, I 100% think this is worth the read. I’m glad I didn’t listen to all any the negative booktok comments. This has easily become my favorite series - I just hope it doesn’t wreck me any more than it has…but I feel I won’t be so lucky.

Other Mommy is getting restless, stronger, bolder. Only the bonds of family can keep Bela safe, but other incidents show cracks in her parents’ marriage. The safety Bela relies on is about to unravel.

It’s Alright! Worth a Read.
Revisado: 02-10-25
Overall, pretty good! I enjoyed the book and continuously wanted to know where things were going and what would happen next. Although I feel it could have been scarier at times, I overall liked the creep factor. A few reasons I didn’t rate it higher are because I felt like it dragged on a lot - we knew where things were headed and it took so long to get there for really no reason, in my opinion. Also, the ending just really irritated me. I feel like everything was building and building just to be so anti-climactic. I genuinely am glad I gave it a read and would recommend to someone as well, just not my favorite book I’ve ever read.

I devoured the first book and heard many people saying they didn’t find this one as good…I can’t say I agree at all! I may like it more than the first! I feel like we really get to delve in and understand more in this book and I’m loving it so far. I’ve really enjoyed going back and forth between reading the physical book and listening to this audio adaption. I feel like it makes the experience that much better! I love that easy person is acted out by someone new. Can’t wait to listen to the second part!!
