Overall, this is a good read. I wish the narrator could have made the male voices a little more masculine. It took a while to get used to them. In the beginning they sounded like women. I'm a big Sherry Thomas fan and have read everyone of her Lady Sherlock series. This was a nice change of pace.

Good Book but it takes a little patience

I'm really glad I didn't bale on this book. There were a few times when I considered it. I found the opening strong; although, it was a bit difficult at first keeping track of all the characters (who were quite interesting). The back and forth between past and present and character to character is at times annoying, but things DO shift as the plot progresses and things begin to move more quickly and then I was totally hooked in.

Love Charlotte and the Gang

I'm a big Lady Sherlock fan. Love all the characters and stories. The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars all around is because it was quite complicated at times and therefore hard to follow especially with all the characters involved and plots going on. Even after it's all explained in the end, I had to go back and listen to that part again.

I'm a big Chet and Bernie fan and this was not exception. Enjoyed it all. Sometimes after an intense book or two, I like to kick back and relax with something fun. That's Chet and Bernie. Funny as ever.

Good, but . . .

Mixed feelings on this one. The writing is very good and the plot an interesting one that drew me in along with the characters. The author has a way of describing things that is unique and very engaging. Found it a little slow at times and the ending somewhat disappointing and unsatisfying.

Good not Great

This story has a decent plot and characters, however, I found it to be mostly one long chase. Although the writer does break it up at times, I wish she could have done something more to draw me in. I did read one review before I listened to it that said "it lacked depth" and I can understand why that person described it that way.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters, the story line, the narration -- all of it. Seems like there could easily be a sequel. I'd certainly be in line to read it.

Happy to be back reading the series. This one had an Interesting plot and characters. Liked that it took the reader out of the country. Fun read. Decided to keep going and read the next one!
