Unexpected Major Madaris Drama

Yes, this was an unexpected but wonderful surprise. One of the best books ever written by Brenda Jackson. I love a drama mystery romance. This book gave it all and left nothing hanging. Kudos Ms. Jackson 👏🏾

Love Always Wins

Happy for Carmen and Redford. I think they loved each other from the beginning and Redford was fighting it because Carmen said he was her soulmate. I also enjoyed the bonus story about Sherry and Deandre and how a bad first encounter can turn into a great second chance.

All the Emotions

I didn’t know how to feel about this book. There is so much! It picks up from part one where there’s heartbreak, deceit, guilt, and mental anguish. This book will have you all in your feelings. I’m kind of upset part 3 and the Christmas novella aren’t on audible because the narrator does a great job, but I’ll be reading them next on Kindle hoping for some type of happy ending.

Love Unexpected

Luna Star and Bash got together in the most complicated way. But it was meant for their paths to cross. Even though they went through a lot of turmoil they ended up being happy together in the end. Narrators were great and kept me intrigued. I was reading via Kindle at the same time listening on audible to this book. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but I would like to read more because it was a great read that kept my attention.

These two books were very short so I’m glad they were combined to make it worth using a credit. I enjoyed the first book Bare Essentials the most. Bound by Passion didn’t really catch my attention.

The Best of the Series

I love Renee and Zo’s story and have read and listened to it many times. Renee deserved happiness after being married to that ugly cheating bastard of a first husband. Love how past lives are entangled with the current and how secrets are revealed. Sean Crisden did a wonderful performance of Zo but there should of been a better voice to portray Renee.

What’s Rightfully an Outlaw’s Shall be Claimed!

Originally finished listened to the audiobook in January 2023. This book was my favorite in the whole series. After listing to the newest and final book in the series titled: Second Time’s the Charm - I decided to come back and listen to this book again leave a review. This by far is my favorite book in the whole Outlaw series. The drama and romance are plentiful and I love the chemistry between Phire and Maverick.

Maverick Outlaw and Sapphire (Phire) Bordella met three years ago in France and immediately became great friends with benefits. But unbeknownst to themselves it was really love at first sight. Of course this book goes back and forth with assumptions in the beginning like “I love him but he doesn’t love me” and vice versus but that makes for a great read.

Their story gets even more interesting when a “Friends with Benefits reunion reunion results in a pregnancy. But Phire is being manipulated by her alleged “father” Simon Bordella who has other plans in regards to who he wants her to marry. He uses blackmail and manipulation to try to get what he wants but some people are working in the background to end his 25 years of deceit and theft.

All kinds of truths come out and it ties up the Outlaw and Westmoreland relationship which had pretty much left us hanging in Megan Westmoreland and Rico Claiborne’s story.

The epilogue is pretty much a pre-segue into the final Outlaw book - Second Time’s A Charm and the next Westmoreland Legacy book called One Steamy Night.

Of course Ron Butler does an excellent job of narrating and this book is just great from beginning to end. Keeps you enthralled and in my humble opinion is definitely the best read in the series.

Kind of Romance Lacking

After all the time it took for the story to finally get released I’m slightly disappointed. The romance lacked and there was not a good balance of drama to the go along with the story. After 10 years of seeing your only true love it should be more. I don’t know what but something is missing and Charm’s story just did not hit the mark. Then in the epilogue it’s hinted about Nadia Novak’s book and goes on to say “she’s Charm’s cousin Dillon’s wife’s sister but she’s actually even more closely related to Charm than that because her brother Sloan is married to Nadia’s sister Paige. The best part of the reading was Ron Butler who is one of my favorite narrators.

Finally Love for Roland

I’m so happy for Lennox and Roland. Even Frasier calmed down and found someone which was surprisingly awesome. Was disappointed with the narration though. This was a long anticipated book and I was looking forward to hearing Ron Butler read it. The narrator that did this book did a horrible job of the women’s voices and some of the men’s too!

Sweet Meets Savory

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the last one in the series “Packing Heat”. The narrator has a great speaking voice but at times I was confused as to who was talking because the voice never changed it’s inflection. Plus things were changed from the first two books. Byron’s daughter wasn’t mentioned and the play sister’s name was changed. The ending was good but I am some how still left hanging especially regarding Marvin’s old job and Naomi’s stalker ex. Hoping the next book in the series picks back up and is as good as the first two.
