My minor was in history. I enjoyed the references. I also sort of speak several languages. I appreciate the difficulties involved.

Propositions for marriage do actually happen accidentally.

The military tactics are generally good. Some quibbles about things. Main are: Body armor stops knives and clubs.

No White Phosphorus. Not enough use of flashbangs, chemlights, CS, Thermite, and grenades in general. Nobody used a flying claymore mine, though it was noted they had the mines. That's where you slap the mine down on the side of the tree between you and the problem and go click click click.

No LAW rockets, AT4s, SMAW, man portable mortars, etc.

Beyond that, it's a wonderful series.

Loyal soldiers stand against cosmic darkness.

I thought it was well paced and well written. It shows what loyalty and honor can accomplish. I really liked the characters.

it also shows the dangers of betraying yourself for influence and power.

The voice actors are wonderful and funny, especially when the actress as to go back and forth between good French and bad French between different characters in a scene.

I can take or leave the sex scenes but they are generally well written.

Overall, the 4 released books are worth it.

A fun romp with kaiju and a death ray.

I enjoyed all the superhero and pop culture references. It is fun to see the main character having to basically build an organization out of necessity.

I very much enjoyed the tongue in cheek references to the superhero genre. The author is clearly well versed in a wide variety of the lore.

I also enjoy that someone who is a self declared villain actually ends up saving more lives and defeating more villains than the heroes.

A fun little fantasy story.

I enjoyed the characters and their interactions. A lot of little sweet things. The nervousness of the ladies about meeting the heir, etc.

The only issue I had was the prose didn't always flow well. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. The voice acting made for a comfortable listening experience.

Fights with demons and fixer ups

A fun story, full of geek references and delightful antics. I enjoy the characters quite a bit.

The only downer is the authors use the same phrases repeatedly. That is a peeve from an editor, however.

I enjoyed the book for what it is. It males nice ear candy.
