Narrator is Elite- Strong Story
Revisado: 11-28-24
Storyline is good but not mind blowing. If you like the Longmire series, this won’t disappoint. George Guidall is one of THE BEST and makes every audiobook he does, feel real and well worth the listen.

Historia
The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains. But the Reaper is also Darrow, born of the red soil of Mars: a husband, a father, a friend. The worlds once needed the Reaper. But now they need Darrow. Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

Gross Audio, single narration, but still worth it.
Revisado: 03-22-24
The audio quality of this recording is miles behind the other books in this series. It takes awhile to get used to the single narrator for all the perspectives. The last 2 books had multiple narrators to help distinguish the voices.
The book is fine, a bit repetitive. But overall is still a great story.

Historia
Mitch Rapp hates owing anyone a favor—especially when it’s the world’s most powerful crime lord. But when Damian Losa calls, Mitch is honor bound to answer. The Syrian government has created a highly addictive new narcotic that it plans to distribute throughout Europe. It’s a major threat to Losa’s business and he’s determined to stop it by any means necessary. Rapp is the perfect choice for the mission. Not only does he have extensive experience operating in the Middle East, but he’s also entirely expendable.

Kyle Mills quiet quits
Revisado: 01-01-24
You can tell that Mills is done with the Rapp universe. The antagonists are too easily overcome. No character has any real emotional arch which leaves you not really caring about any of them. Just kind of going through the motions. It feels like the rapp stories have ran their course. The writing is still engaging and the storyline is still interesting. Kyle Mills is still a good author for this genre and if you like Rapp, you’ll enjoy this one too. Just not the most intriguing or gripping storytelling. Hopefully if/when a new author arises, there will be a new fire to explore Rapp and what’s next, if anything.

Good but drawn out
Revisado: 07-13-23
At this point in the series there is painstaking effort to elongate the story for another book. Too much repetition in order to fill time for my taste. Overall it’s good if you like this series, just longer than necessary.

Slow start, but worth the wait
Revisado: 11-18-21
The beginnings of the story take a bit to get the movement going but all of it is important and feeds the plot. The last half or so is non-stop and gripping.
Some great questions emerge about faith, trust, and redemption. Riding the morally ambiguous line when life and death are line, the writers don’t hide from that tension but rather lean into it.

Historia
Months after discovering the mastermind behind her own kidnapping, Detective Jude Fontaine is dealing with the past the only way she knows how: by returning to every dark corner of it. But it’s a new, escalating series of mass slayings that has become her latest obsession at Homicide. At first, Jude and her partner, Detective Uriah Ashby, can see no pattern to the seemingly random methods, the crime scenes, or the victims - until they’re approached by a brilliantly compulsive math professor.

Worth it
Revisado: 07-16-19
It’s a strong story with compelling protagonists. The antagonists are a bit one dimensional but that’s a preference bit. The author builds a great visual story and the narrator captures Jude’s tone with every syllable. This is becoming a favorite series.

Ugh, the narrator
Revisado: 06-24-19
The story is really well done. It’s interesting and carries a great tone from beginning to end. But the narrator sounds like a guy who’s never read or seen these books and movies before. His pronunciations are awkward and his voicing of characters misses in every mark. He’s a fine orator but Star Wars is genre with its own unique sound to every character. Marc Thompson in the thrawn series is great at capturing the sound. This guy on the other hand... made me sad...
