Historia
The devastation of Pearl Harbor and the American victory at Midway were prelude to a greater challenge: rolling back the vast Japanese Pacific empire island by island. This masterful history encompasses the heart of the Pacific War - the period between mid-1942 and mid-1944 - when parallel Allied counteroffensives north and south of the equator washed over Japan's far-flung island empire like a "conquering tide", concluding with Japan's irreversible strategic defeat in the Marianas.

Great story, and by far the best narrator I've ever heard bar none. Truly outstanding!

Should have been a quarter of the length.
Revisado: 06-03-22
this book was difficult to finish. The authors attempt to only refute the larger narratives that they see is being problematic in an attempt to curtail the length of the book. while they may have succeeded in keeping the book from being two to three times longer oh, it was already four times too long as it became difficult to understand what they were arguing for and what day were arguing against is they recounted the prevailing arguments that day then disabused.

Great framework!
Revisado: 06-11-21
it's a great framework for organizational leadership to use to get the most out of their go-to-market strategies. Although it does get a little bit dense in the latter chapters the final chapter is profoundly insightful. The robo reader is the biggest reason for the low review overall. The robo reader is rather painful.

Historia
In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the next Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose startup “unicorn” promised to revolutionize the medical industry with its breakthrough device, which performed the whole range of laboratory tests from a single drop of blood. Backed by investors such as Larry Ellison and Tim Draper, Theranos sold shares in a fundraising round that valued the company at more than $9 billion, putting Holmes’s worth at an estimated $4.5 billion.

Enough of the robo readers!
Revisado: 01-02-19
The story is compelling, however even as robo readers continue to get better, they still have a way to go to compete with a professional human reader. The audio performance falls short of how good the story itself is.
