Historia
The novella is centered on Eddie Durante, owner of a speakeasy who's supported by his mobster uncle—the boss of the Durante family. Eddie is a young widower after his family's rival, the Caprice family, murdered his wife over a territory dispute. After devising a plan that retaliated against four of the rivaling capos, Eddie is left with the daunting task to try and move on. That is, until he's notified that the Caprices have put a hit man in the speakeasy—and Eddie's name is on the list.

Where does Speakeasy: A Novella rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best listens going from narration into dialogue i have come across.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I wasn't sure where it was going or why.. then when i finally got the jist of who and why.. you can't wait to see what happens and you are on edge.
Which scene was your favorite?
WIthout ruining it: the revenge scene and really the scene leading up to the reveal
If you could rename Speakeasy: A Novella, what would you call it?
Crime, Love, Family, and Hidden Hits
Any additional comments?
Narrator has a gift for character voice delineation so well it sounds like a movie

Dialouge so well written and performed!

Would you listen to Bloodless again? Why?
Yes. The comedy mixed into the suspense, and at times tender, moments keeps you on a ride that doesn't bore at a lull.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dakota Leigh and Kenneth's interactions throughout "Twenty Thirteen", and the narrator as a character in "Hot Midnight"
What about Nick Sarando’s performance did you like?
Two very different stories with really different characters. Sarando does an good job of navigating the many characters and accents. At times it was very 'radio play'. A very enjoyable listen. Good job!
Any additional comments?
very promising writer and narrator. I will be following their next works

Would you listen to Not Much to Do in Wellington again? Why?
This Guy sounds like a young Christian Slater
What was one of the most memorable moments of Not Much to Do in Wellington?
The boys interaction from crisis to mounting crisis
Which scene was your favorite?
Picturing the Old Man in his underwear and scaring the boys with his home made cocoa.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
there is a religious undertone and God's good characters defeating the evil. I really like that the hero was still forgiving and loving toward the anti character and acceptance of the need to squelch the bad that comes up in people every now and then and get back on the right path.
Any additional comments?
Great for children from 12 up and anyone else interested in light action comedies
