Good book but a bit plodding

This was a good story but I think it could have been half this long. So much talk about nothingness, and ridiculousness. I guess that was an intentional illustration of the frustration of the classes against each other and all the changes during the Industrial Revolution? Overall, I would recommend the book, and I’d also like to commend the John Lee for his excellent narration.

If I could give more than 5 stars for his narration I absolutely would. His acting chops really shine in Book and I’d love to hear more from him in this genre. The female narrator was good but her version of Griffin varied so sometimes it was really good but at other times, just sounded like a woman imitating a man with that slight throaty sound that took my attention away from the story. But that was fleeting and the romance of the story brought me back every time. Loved it.

Perhaps I enjoyed this one the most because I loved Erik and Aethelflaed so much on the Netflix version. But this really did seem more full of action than the others. Jonathan Keeble is a great narrator as well!

Loved the narrator

I originally became interested in this series from watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix. The narrator of this book sounds so much like Alexander Dreymon it's scary. It is too bad, though, that there isn't a single narrator for the whole series.

(98%) Angst-free sexy funny romance

I'm very happy to have invested a credit here. Mister O (great title, btw - gets the reader's interest, ahem...). It's laugh-out-loud funny in many places, sexy and sweet. Very few f-bombs compared to some other books I've listened to (it's just distracting when there are so many) and Sebastian York's voice is like buttah. (Dating myself? Just Google SNL's Coffee Talk bit.). Very enjoyable listen.

Good story made better by Fantastic narrator

I read "3 2 1" right before this one, so I can't help but compare. This is a good story, though a little slow at times, and like "3 2 1," it has good sex scenes. (If you haven't read the former, I urge you to, as it is more compelling and the sex is amazing.) As always, Sebastian York delivers as the main character, Rock (short for Rowan Kyle). His voice makes me happy.

Fantastic story, the 'panty-dropping sex' promised on the book cover, and amazing narrators. Sebastian York's voice. Hoh my. I will be interested to read JA Huss' other books, as well. (Well, interested to listen to, but you know what I mean!)

I listened to this book over two days - I just couldn't bring myself to turn it off. The narrators were great, particularly Marcio Catalano. His voice is velvety and deep, and so pleasant.

Everything the title says plus riveting and sexy. A+ narrator, too

I absolutely loved this book, though it was hard for me to conceive of violence like this and that it really does happen within crime organizations. All the characters were well-developed and interesting. The sex (and eventual love) between Liam and Melody, the main characters, was raw and thrilling. And Joel Froomkin, the narrator--I can't say enough. I think I could listen to him read the phone book. (Well, I'd let him share the privilege with Tom Hiddleston.) Froomkin delivered each character's dialogue in a unique voice and did so consistently throughout. I couldn't find any other audiobooks that he narrated on here, which is a real shame. He's very talented.
