This was everything I wanted and more. I am obsessed with the Kings of Chaos & Mayhem series, and this audiobook absolutely delivered. The narration was intense and emotional — I was fully locked in from start to finish. If you’re not deep in this series yet, you’re seriously missing out. Dark, gritty, and addictive. Highly recommend the audiobook if you want to feel every single hit.

Reasons this book and audiobook is amazing:
*The Pain Hits HARD – This isn’t just a revenge story; it’s a rebirth. The girl who was left broken is gone, and in her place rises the Blood Queen. And let me tell you—her fire is glorious.
*Dark & Gritty – If you love your books with a sharp edge, high stakes, and an MC who refuses to stay down, this one delivers in spades.
*Why Choose? Why Not. – The romance is tangled, messy, and as dangerous as the world she’s thrown into. It keeps you hooked.

Let's talk about the cliffhanger. Ashlynn is literally the Cliffy Queen. Listen, I knew it was coming, but it still hit like a gut punch. This book hurts, but in that addictive, I-need-the-next-one-right-now kind of way.

This book is beyond dark—a twisted, mind-bending dive into the most depraved character Ashlynn has ever created. And honestly? It’s so damn good.

Jameson Callaghan isn’t just the senator’s son—he’s The Carver, a faceless serial killer who stalks, obsesses, and slaughters in the name of his twisted desires. The Carver’s Deadly Symphony rips open the darkest corners of his mind, exposing exactly what’s wrong with him—and why. It’s disturbing, intense, and absolutely unhinged in the best way possible. I can’t even imagine what Ashlynn went through writing this from his perspective. Like... WTF?!

🎧 Audiobook Performance:
The narrator is EVERYTHING. They nailed the chilling, calculated nature of Jameson, making his darkness feel even more visceral. The voice acting brought this horror novella to life in a way that made it impossible to turn away—even when I probably should have.

🚨 Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart. If you thought Chaos was dark, The Carver’s Deadly Symphony laughs in your face and drags you deeper. Check the content warnings. Then, if you dare, jump in and let Jameson consume you.

The female narrator stole the show for me. Her ability to give each character a unique voice—including the men—was incredible. I was actually shocked by how well she handled the male voices. The male narrator was great too, though his character differentiation wasn’t quite as strong.

Overall, I loved this audiobook experience. This book and series already own my dark romance-loving heart, so hearing it brought to life was an absolute treat. If you love why-choose, dark romance, and high-stakes tension, this one is a must-listen. Just be prepared—because that cliffhanger will leave you desperate for more!

A Dead and Stormy Night" by Steffanie Holmes is a delightful and captivating cozy mystery that will warm your heart and keep you guessing until the very end. Set in a charming small town, the story follows a cast of lovable characters who find themselves caught up in a thrilling murder mystery.

One of the highlights of this book is the author's ability to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The descriptions of the town and its inhabitants make you feel like you're part of the community, and the quaint setting adds an extra layer of charm to the story. The author's attention to detail brings the scenes to life, making it easy to imagine yourself walking the streets alongside the characters.

Speaking of characters, they are the heart and soul of this story. Each one is unique and well-developed, with their own quirks and secrets. From the determined and resourceful main character to the quirky and endearing side characters, you can't help but become invested in their lives and root for them as they navigate the twists and turns of the mystery.

The plot is expertly crafted, with plenty of suspense and surprises along the way. The pacing is just right, keeping you engaged from start to finish. The author does a fantastic job of weaving together clues and red herrings, keeping you guessing about the identity of the culprit until the final reveal.

Overall I definitely recommend this series to fans of RH, mystery, fantasy, and the people that love a good saunter thru an old bookshop.
