Not the best

The narrator has to put on a fake Irish accent that was so grating I couldn’t listen to this book without cringing 😬

Although I have enjoyed the scumble river series I found the naivety of the characters in this book annoying. I actually fell asleep during part of it

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-15-21
While enjoying some of Debbie’s books this one was not a favourite.
The narrator’s voice drifted in and out and I had to rewind to hear some of her changes between characters.
Sadly the town is full of immature, arrogant and selfish men who are just mean spirited. I won’t be listening to the rest of this series.

Not her best book
Revisado: 02-11-20
Found the book tedious and had to listen to it at 1 and 1/2 speed to get to the ending. I found it very hard to believe that a person could be put into the same situation twice and the amount of lies that people got away with including the accusers father and the local copper. This book was not on my favorites list

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-25-18
This book was disappointing I know the heroine was a medical examiner but hearing her describe her sympathetic nervous system kick in and other bodily responses got a little boring, not to mention the stupidity of the situations she put herself in; for a supposedly smart woman she was pretty foolish.
I’m glad I got this book on sale otherwise I would have returned it.
