Good story... AMAZING voice actor

Solid story and great narration

I still like Biller’s first books better, but this book also was solid read. Took a while for me to get into it as I was looking for a ghost story romance but the first few chapters were centered more on ballet. Overall I am glad I stuck with this book. Loved how they tied characters from first Book to this book.

I love the idea of a collection of chapters each from a different characters point of view and the performers were fabulous, but the story lacked a good ending.

Helpful and profound

As I mourn the passing of my best friend who died of metastatic breast cancer at 42, I needed to understand what she was going through. While she had shared with me a lot, it was helpful to hear Julie’s story and how she was finding her way through her journey with metastatic cancer. Sure there were parts of the book that felt redundant, but come on, we are listening to a woman talk about her life, her journey with cancer and what she thinks it means. I am grateful for the opportunity to have heard her story.

A hauntingly beautiful story

This is one of those books that a reader returns to read again. Such a beautifully written story that led me to feel a mix of emotions throughout the book. Yes, there is sadness, but there was so much more, love, regret, happiness, and longing. One of the best books I have read in a long time.

Not a bad read - stuck with it until the end

I found the characters interesting enough to stick with the story until the end, though I did feel the beginning part of the book was more interesting that the later part. Not sure how I feel about the ending. A bit farfetched, I suppose. The writing is solid and the performance was good, which is why I think I stuck with this book. I would not read it again though. One time through is enough.

Great character development but wasn’t fan of ending

I selected this book as it was suggested by Reese Witherspoon and her book club. The characters were well developed and I loved the way that each chapter is from the perspective of one character. The narration was terrific too! I just didn’t find the ending very satisfying. I hate when you read a book all the way through and are loving the story to only be dissatisfied with the ending. I may try another book by this author but will likely go back to Agatha Christie books for a while.
