Gary S. Park’s book/guide is a compassionate and insightful audiobook. It offers practical strategies and comforting advice for young people facing mental health struggles. I also appreciated that this is based on up-to-date research. The narration is also spot-on and makes this easy to listen to. Definitely recommend for teens and parents alike.

In this audiobook, the author delivers a concise but (very) comprehensive blueprint for those of us (me) who are novices at backyard chicken-keeping. I’m excited to put what I’ve learned to good use in my urban backyard. Narrator Ryan Reid's engaging delivery also makes this a pleasant listen; a must-listen for anyone seeking a happy, healthy flock and a “taste of self-sufficiency”. Definitely recommend.

The guided meditations in this audiobook are relaxing and have helped me fall asleep faster than I would have without it. As someone who has struggled falling asleep their entire adulthood, I’m always looking for a healthy coping skill or tool to help me get to sleep—this audiobook is exactly the tool I need right now. I also appreciate the positive affirmations and “sessions” on self-hypnosis. Definitely recommend!

In this audiobook, the author provides affirmations to help the listener quit drinking and to stay sober, offering a path toward growth and redemption. What I loved is that some of these affirmations have power in them and are helpful, whether or not you’re trying to stay sober; the affirmations have multiple applications for daily life. There isn’t just an undercurrent of dry sobriety but also emotional sobriety (which is the root that we want to get to in our sobriety and personal growth). The narration was also A+. A must-listen for those seeking personal insight, inspiration, and self-renewal.

As an advocate and professional in the field of mental health, this book is spot-on in the advice and tips it offers to teen athletes in the way of cultivating grit and mental toughness. One of the biggest lessons offered is that taking care of our wellbeing and developing mental toughness is a learned skill and something to manage; it’s not something that happens overnight and taking baby steps is a-okay. Also, that we don’t need to run or hide or shy away from discomfort, but we can manage it and learn from it. This book is a practical guide, as promised. I also enjoyed the narration. Bravo!!

This audiobook is jam-packed with fantastic advice and almost a “best practices” on how to train your new pup and how to be the best dog-parent possible. I found the 7 steps to be successful in your first day with your new puppy to be super helpful as well as crate training (in a kind, compassionate way) and leash training. The narration was top-notch and made the book even more engaging. Definitely recommend!

I enjoyed this audiobook tremendously because I have a great interest in gardening (mainly for food) while also making sure my activities aren’t harmful to the environment around me. This book makes it easy to learn about permaculture and then put it into practice. I am now much closer to achieving zero-waste with my gardening activities, and I also got a lot out of how to improve the (nutrient) quality of the soil I’m using. The narration was spot-on as well. Fantastic book!

I am so pleased I found this book. I am involved academically and as a practitioner in the fields of community and public health and I am more than happy to recommend this book as being healthy, positive, helpful, and stigma-free when it comes to a proactive and educational standpoint around type-2 diabetes. The author, Dr. Ashley Johnson (an expert who has their Doctor of Pharmacy, or PharmD), covers all the “whys” “whens” and “hows” around type-2 diabetes; how to prevent in a myriad of ways, how to manage, how to manage cooccurring conditions such as mental health disorders, and beyond. With almost 25% of the United States having prediabetes, this book is a “must read” for many. The narration by Pam Hurley was also fantastic. Bravo!!
