I really enjoyed this book! The detailed writing, the story, the plot twist, all of it! Had to re-listen to portions because I was mad I didn’t see that one coming! Looking forward to the next strike novel!

Great Performance!

Really enjoy the performance and production on this audiobook! The first half is a lot better than the second. The story seems more cohesive in the beginning and not stand-alone chapters. Still really enjoyed it and pretty much love anything Neil Gaiman comes out with

So many loose ends...

I enjoyed the concept of this book very much! However the execution was lacking. There are so many things introduced that are never explained. A lot of introspection but not a lot of explanation. I was so surprised when the book ending because it answered ZERO questions. Narrators were great though!

Great book but extremely long

I really enjoyed this story and the characters. The narrator is fantastic!! I love the detail and the fact that clues are given to us so we can help solve it too. But I really think it’s like 2-3 hours too long.

Anika Noni Rose was a phenomenal narrator. Her pace was perfect and I could easily tell the voices apart. The concept of the story is really good. I enjoyed learning about shadowshapers and sorrows. My only issue was the pacing of the information. It all came too fast for me: Sierra’s discovery of the shadowshapers, the bad guy, Lucera, etc.
