Story was good, the end felt alittle rushed and glossed over tragic events, would have felt more involved if they did flashbacks to her pain🤷‍♂️ but still a solid listen

I don't have to read this book to give it a good review. This whole series of books have been the best written and performed that I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. If you have not listened to the first 7 of the very long but not long enough books, do it, you won't be disappointed. I am a very happy girl this morning, Yea!!! book eight. I will be out to lunch the next couple of weeks. Happy listening every one...

Ok, all of the reviews I have read have been disappointed in this book and yes I am sad that the ending was not HEA, but I feel the author was leading up to this all along. It made me think about standing up for what I believe is right and not backing down. It's easy to stand on the side lines and let other people do the dirty work. Just think if no one took chances and tried to change things during the american revolution we wouldn't live in this great country today. War is sacrifice and war sucks but thank god there are people out there willing to give up there lives for the greater good. I was balling at the end of this book but I in no way felt cheated. Tris did not want to die, nobody does, but her courage inspires me and I think that was the message here. We all want a happy ending but sometimes thats just not the way it is. There are people out there today just like Tris, I honor and respect them and thank them for there service because after all- Tris was a soldier. God bless our soldiers and God bless America!!
