Historia
There’s something wrong with this family. Mary Shaw’s the doting mother, showering her children with gifts from the heart and the pocketbook. Wes Shaw’s different than his siblings - darker, awkward, the perpetual ne’er-do-well. The Shaws have survived divorce and death, but something sinister is in their midst. The truth threatens to tear them apart. The lies threaten to tear them apart. There’s no neutral ground, no place to hide. Ultimately, each family member must make a choice with irreversible consequences.

Refreshing story line
Revisado: 12-12-17
Great look into the mind of a sociopath and how they blend into society unnoticed. Sociopaths are masters of manipulation and are usually charming and intelligent and more often than not go unpunished for their sins against others.
The author was very accurate in his portrayal of what having a family member who is a sociopath in the family does to a family. A rift is usually the end result because at some point each member needs to chooses to keep drinking the Kool Aid or their own mental well-being. Because with a sociopath, it’s always about them and giving up the Kool Aid is harder than it looks. I have a sibling it took decades to accept is a sociopath; I can’t imagine the damage having a Sociopath for a mother would cause.
Excellent book; well worth the credit.

Historia
Since We Fell follows Rachel Childs, a former journalist who, after an on-air mental breakdown, now lives as a virtual shut-in. In all other respects, however, she enjoys an ideal life with an ideal husband. Until a chance encounter on a rainy afternoon causes that ideal life to fray. As does Rachel's marriage. As does Rachel herself. Sucked into a conspiracy thick with deception, violence, and possibly madness, Rachel must find the strength within herself to conquer unimaginable fears and mind-altering truths.

Different than any of his previous work but still compelling and draws you in
Revisado: 05-15-17
It took most of the book to see where LeHane was going with the story. Just when you think you "get it", he changes everything and takes you in another direction. I am not quite sure what genre to classify it. Multiple personal dramas and personal demons are explored but it is also a story with mysteries within other mysteries. Nothing is as it appears and the ending can't be anticipated chapters in advance. Not to be missed by anyone who loves LeHane's writing. You won't be disappointed. Don't get discouraged by the first half of the book there is a lot of personal angst and personal recriminations and gets a little tedious but there are layer upon layer yet to be revealed in 2nd half before the true story is revealed. I am going back and reading it again to pick up the tidbits I overlooked or glossed over as unimportant in the first reading.
LeHane can't write anything but compelling stories in my humble opinion. Well worth the credit
