I had an opportunity to listen to the audio version of this book when it was offered through the Audible Original program and I thoroughly enjoyed it! You really can not go wrong with this author’s billionaire book boyfriends! Something about those alpha bossy billionaire men really gets to me and by listening to the audio, the English accent was an added bonus. I thought the narrators, Rupert Channing and Elizabeth Powers did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

Damien and Nicole had an instant connection during a flight from London to LA. After a few mishaps, and some untruths, Damien is able to convince Nicole to work on a PR problem that his company is in the middle of. There are definite sparks between the two and it was wonderful to see them falling in love. I do have to be honest and say that it was hard knowing the secret that Damien was keeping from Nicole, it did however show what an amazing man he is. He is loyal and cares so much and so protective of his family, but almost too much.

Overall, Tell Me You’re Mine was a great start to what is looking like a great series. I am really looking forward to Dylan’s story next.

I had read this book about 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. I just recently listened to the audiobook and it was as good as I remembered. I felt the narrator, Jill Redfield did such a wonderful job with all the characters in this book.

Nick and Shaya’s story is so heartbreaking all around. Nick’s rejection was too hard for Shaya to take anymore so with the help of her pack she left and has been attempting to live a life without her mate. Nick had his reasons for not claiming Shaya and it was not for reasons Shaya thinks. But when Nick realizes that he will never have his glimpses of his mate, he is determined to find her and keep her. I loved Nick’s determination to finally claim Shaya, his reasons are still unresolved but he can not live without her, he even gave up his alpha position to be with her! But Shaya still does not make it easy for Nick but he is able to break through her walls.

Besides the drama between Nick and Shaya, there are also human extremists that are out to end them all. Like most of this author’s books, the battle scenes are nail biters. But the way everyone was able to pull together and was fantastic to see. I absolutely loved how Nick tried so hard to not be the alpha of any pack, but they all gravitated to him anyway.

It was so awesome to delve back into the earlier pack stories! I may need to re-listen to the rest of the books!

Secret Love is another book I read back when it was first released in 2000, but it is a book I’ve re-read so many times. When I saw it available in Audible Escape, I had to check it out. It was as good as I remembered, and I have to say the narrator Simon Prebble did an amazing job with both Gabriel and Alathea’s voices.

I won’t go into too much detail about the storyline since there have been so many reviews already about this book, but I think what really made me love this book so much was the relationship that Gabriel and Alathea had, in the past and present. They have known each other for years and as they grew older the more uncomfortable they felt around each other. It became so bad that they became childhood nemeses. But now Alathea needs Gabriel’s expertise. Her family’s fortune was being threatened and thinking Gabriel would not be inclined to help she comes up with a veil and a plan. The consequences of the plan changed the outcome of both their lives.

There is so much more I loved about this book. I loved Gabriel’s reaction, after a night of thinking about things, when he found out who the veiled lady really was. He is a true Cynster, knowing exactly who Alathea was and is to him. And Alathea, the self-less spinster, who gave up her future to make sure her family was always safe. The two together as the veiled lady and Gabriel and then when it was Alathea and Gabriel, they were explosive together.

I can re-read and now re-listen to this book over and over again.

Audiobook Review

We continue with Knox and Harper’s story in Ashes, book 3 in the Dark in You series. Another audio of a book I read a couple years ago (July 2018). I have actually been bingeing on this series the past 3 days, I just can’t seem to stop myself. Knox and Harper’s story is just that fantastic!! In this book we continue on with the storyline with the Four Horsemen, we do learn who the third Horseman is and it's a doozy. More near death, torture and kidnappings of Harper, Knox nearly losing his mind and almost losing control over his demon. But this time around some major changes in their lives. We also have some fun scenes of Harper's father, Lucien and of Lucifer.

Another great book and audio.

I read the Dark in You series a couple of years ago (June 2018) and loved it so when I found it in Audible Escape, I devoured the first 3 books in 3 days!! Blaze is book 2 in this series and we continue to see the deepening love between Knox and Harper. In this book we have more trouble brewing in their world. We have a near rogue demon out to get them, we have Knox’s old bed buddies getting in Harper’s face (the dolphin comments kept me snickering) and family drama galore! Knox’s determination to keep Harper safe has skyrocketed and this caused some tension between the two, but the consequences of Harper in danger would be a danger to their world. But we also learn how strong Harper and her inner demon really is. We are also introduced to the Four Horsemen, they are a group whose goal is to cause chaos among the Primes and to take over. Talk about twists and turns! This storyline continues on into the next book, but we get some conclusion in this one.

Blaze was a great book and I highly enjoyed listening to it. The narrator, Cat Doucette, did a pretty good job. The demon voices were a bit rough, but overall pretty good.

Audiobook review:

Another story that I had read previously and I was anxiously waiting for the audiobook. Angel happens to be my favorite of the series (I've read all 8 so far) so when the audio was released I jumped right in and finished in one sitting. The story was as good as I remembered, but the narrator was so-so. Tom Campbell did a good job with Gabriel and the male voices but I had a tough time with Jordan's voice.

Jordan’s story is one I have been waiting for since she was first mentioned in Cyclone. We get more snippets of her in Eagle and Shamrock, so to finally get her story I was ecstatic!

Jordan has endured a lot in her 24 years; her mother passes away when she was a child, her father cheated and stole money from many people and businesses in town and after a horrible tragedy she was sentenced to prison for 6 years, all before she was even 18 years of age. She has been out for the past 3 months and life has not been any easier for her. Because of what her father had done, she is seen as a pariah in the eyes of many of the townsfolk of Oak Creek and they don’t hide their disdain for her, but she refuses to move away. Even with the difficulties she is facing, she is home and she has a plan in motion that she is adamant about achieving.

Then we have Gabriel, former Navy Seal, and older brother of Violet, Jordan’s new boss. And as the overprotective older brother, Gabriel has some reservations of Jordan working for his sister and he lets her know it. But something about Jordan pulls at him and he can’t seem to stay away. As he gets to know her, he sees the strength and fortitude it took to carry on with everything she had faced and his feelings for her continued to grow. So when he personally sees all the bullying and hateful actions towards her, he is so angry on her behalf, he decides to take on the role of Jordan’s guardian angel and be the one to care for her and stand by her side.

I shed many tears reading Jordan’s story. My heart broke for everything she had endured and reading how genuinely surprised she was by even the smallest gesture of kindness. And then to witness the gut wrenching scenes where trust becomes an issue for Gabriel, it was almost too much. But when the truth is revealed, he pulls out all the stops to be forgiven and do whatever that needs to be done to keep her safe from the danger that surrounds her.

Audiobook review:

I read this book previously and absolutely loved it! When I saw the audiobooks were available I jumped at the chance to get a copy. As much as I loved the story, unfortunately I was not too fond of the narrator in this series. Tom Campbell did a fairly good job for the male voices but I had a tough time with the Lyn's voice. The tempo also felt a bit off at times.

Janie Crouch’s Linear Tactical series is so consistent with non-stop drama, heart-pounding suspense and amazing chemistry and in book 6, Shadow, is no different. This book is a standalone but you read a little about Heath in the previous book. Ever since Heath was introduced in Ghost I was so curious of what role he played in the now defunct Project Crypt and why he was so important. In Shadow, we learn it all and its fascinating and Lyn’s role in solving it all was fantastic.

The beginning of Heath and Lyn’s relationship was probably not the best way to start, there were so many secrets that both were keeping from each other and it wasn’t until almost half way through the book until the secrets were revealed. Once they both found out their connection, one was slightly horrified and one very angry. But with the danger involved and the intense chemistry they had with each other, it did not take too long for them to find their way back to one another.

Once again, there are some intense scenes and heartbreaking moments, but the strength of everyone involved was fantastic. It was so wonderful to see so many of the characters from the other books and also the connection to Bree and Tanner!!

Another fabulous addition to an amazing series.

Audiobook review

Another Lora Leigh book that I had read years ago and since I had an audible credit I decided to purchase this audiobook. Dawn’s Awakening was definitely one of my favorites so I just had to get this one. What I remembered from the reading was that Dawn’s story was extremely emotional, but listening to it I had forgotten how emotional it was. The narrator, Brianna Bronte, did such an extraordinary job of expressing Dawn’s pain and the torment from Seth. I thought the narration was so awesome I had to up my star rating to a 5!

To say Dawn and Seth’s journey was bumpy is an understatement, there were so many obstacles in the way, including decisions made for them. Dawn was tortured for years, I seriously had such a difficult time imagining everything that she had endured, so I could understand some of Seth’s decisions for staying away from her but I also had some difficulties too. It was actually Dawn’s strength that changed their course. Seth was on his way of moving on, the mating heat was pretty much gone, but Dawn and her cougar was not going to let that happen. Even though I had some issues with Seth, his love for Dawn was actually consistent (the soaps!). I absolutely loved their story so much!

Having read all of the Breed books, including Cassie’s Cross Breed, Dawn’s Awakening is still in my top 3 (Cross Breed being number 1). I just may need to do a re-read of all the breed books again.

I read this book a few years ago and loved it so I was so excited to get the opportunity to listen to the audio version. The narrators Christian Fox and Muffy Newtown were absolutely fantastic!
Both did such an amazing job really bringing these great characters to life. I honestly feel like I enjoyed this story so much more being read to me!

I am a huge fan of the small town setting with a hot law enforcement officer, a sassy heroine with an interesting plot and this one had all that.

FBI Special Agent Damian Gomez was a great hero of this book. He was the agent who rescues Kerry two years prior, unfortunately he did not leave a positive impression and this sort of carries into the present. When he first sees Kerry, even bruised and bloody, he felt a connection with her but unfortunately the wedding ring on her finger deters him from acting on his attraction. Fast forward two years, he is given another chance when he happens to pop in for coffee and lo and behold there she is behind the counter. At first he tries to ignore his feelings toward Kerry, but this all changes when her life is put in danger.

Kerry Emerson is a sassy, strong and business savvy heroine of this story. She is a successful bookshop owner who dabbles in buying and selling rare books. She has moved on from a failed marriage and is happy with the life she has now, even though she does feel lonely.

The suspense plot was pretty interesting. Kerry becomes involved in a criminal investigation related to stolen rare books. Her bookstore is broken into and her life was put in danger in a couple of instances. Damian’s protective instinct is kicked into high gear. The storyline keeps you guessing throughout the book on who the “baddie “ is, what is in that missing box and how these two headstrong characters will reach their HEA.

All in all, this was a great book, I am looking forward to listening to more from Freya Barker.

Audiobook review

I read this book a few years ago and loved it so I was really excited to see it available on Audible Escape. I thought Emma Wilder did a wonderful job narrating this book, I loved her New Zealand accent!

This author is one of my favorites out there right now and I’ve loved the Sons of Templar MC series so it was really fun to go back to the beginning again, especially re-visiting some of the secondary characters before their own HEA.

Now having read almost all of Anne Malcom’s books, there is always going to be angst and characters being put through the wringer. Gwen’s story definitely has that. The things that Gwen went through was brutal and unimaginable but to see her ability to move on was awesome. She had such a great support system. Cade was the ultimate bad boy alpha, from the very first sight of Gwen, he knew he needed her in his bed. As hard as Gwen tried to stay away from another biker, Cade was relentless with his pursuit. Chemistry between these two were intense and off the charts. And even after they were finally together, so much heartbreak was to come, including with some of the secondary characters (that was gut-wrenching!)

I loved Gwen and Cade so much, they definitely had their ups and downs, but the love for each other was so strong we knew they could get through anything.
