Historia
Confused about AI and worried about what it means for your future and the future of the world? You’re not alone. AI is everywhere—and few things are surrounded by so much hype, misinformation, and misunderstanding. In AI Snake Oil, computer scientists Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kapoor cut through the confusion to give you an essential understanding of how AI works, why it often doesn’t, where it might be useful or harmful, and when you should suspect that companies are using AI hype to sell AI snake oil—products that don’t work, and probably never will.

Historia
For numerous centuries, the Talmud—an extraordinary work of Jewish ethics, law, and tradition—has compelled readers to grapple with how to live a good life. Full of folk legends, bawdy tales, and rabbinical repartee, it is inspiring, demanding, confounding, and thousands of pages long. As Liel Leibovitz enthusiastically explores the Talmud, what has sometimes been misunderstood as a dusty and arcane volume becomes humanity's first self-help book. How the Talmud Can Change Your Life contains sage advice on an unparalleled scope of topics.

Historia
Let us journey, with beloved physicist Carlo Rovelli, into the heart of a black hole. We slip beyond its horizon and tumble down this crack in the universe. As we plunge, we see geometry fold. Time and space pull and stretch. And finally, at the black hole’s core, space and time dissolve, and a white hole is born. Rovelli has dedicated his career to uniting the time-warping ideas of general relativity and the perplexing uncertainties of quantum mechanics. In White Holes, he reveals the mind of a scientist at work.

Historia
Throughout history, a powerful force has hindered the growth of human welfare and happiness. It is more powerful than the Mafia or the military. It has global catastrophic effects and can be found anywhere from the world's most powerful boardrooms to your local bar. It is human stupidity. Carlo M. Cipolla, noted professor of economic history at the UC Berkeley, created this vitally important book in order to detect and neutralize its threat.

Very basic information nothing new here
Revisado: 10-28-19
This is very basic information on leading a team, and nothing new here, just basic principles that one needs to do, if one has not read any book on managing or leading then it is a good start, but covers very basic stuff, and stories mostly, but does not go into the depth of how to accomplish these, just stating the fact that just do this, a lot of times it is easier said than done, and one needs a map and approach how to do this. Plus the approach that is suggested by the author here is based on micromanagement, which in technology space people generally do not like. One needs to listen more and people need space to get work done.

Historia
The modern workplace can be an emotional minefield, filled with confusing power structures and unwritten rules. We're expected to be authentic, but not too authentic. Professional, but not stiff. Friendly, but not an oversharer. Easier said than done! Our goal in this book is to teach you how to figure out which emotions to toss, which to keep to yourself, and which to express in order to be both happier and more effective.

Lacking conviction
Revisado: 08-24-19
Such books which can be good aggregators of information but lack the conviction as what they are writing about they have never experienced or researched or studied thoroughly hence comes off as shallow. As compared to study that has been done by some one who has achieved such things like Bill gates etc themselves or studied some one person in great detail like walter isaacson, or adam grant where he writes with research rigor. Here just a collection of stories and no link between these and the conviction lacks and it shows in the book
