Historia
Days after winning OASIS founder James Halliday’s contest, Wade Watts makes a discovery that changes everything. Hidden within Halliday’s vaults, waiting for his heir to find it, lies a technological advancement that will once again change the world and make the OASIS a thousand times more wondrous - and addictive - than even Wade dreamed possible. With it comes a new riddle, and a new quest - a last Easter egg from Halliday, hinting at a mysterious prize. And an unexpected, impossibly powerful, and dangerous new rival awaits, one who’ll kill millions to get what he wants.

I don't think they edited this
Revisado: 04-02-25
I was a fan of ready player 1 in my early 20s. The older I get the more childish the first book seems .. this one however is pretty terrible. He uses the phrase "once or twice a month" soo many times. He contradicts the first book repeatedly. First Wade had never left insipio since he was a child and then in the second book he spent his childhood on housedonia?! Suddenly he cares about his dead aunt? He couldn't care less in the first book, he cared more about Mrs Gilmore than her. Suddenly he's blaming himself for his mother's death ..? Huh? it's just a bunch of weird contradictions and repetitive repeats of the first book. He tried so hard to make his pro gay rights and women's rights and.. it's so bad. The end scene with Artemis and Kiera... wtf.. Kiera - a woman - explains to them both how the rod of resurrection works.... then for some stupid reason Wade re-explains it to Samantha like she wasn't standing there? it made Sam seem like an idiot and she was smarter than Wade through both books. Somehow the fact that the ONI almost killed everyone and Samantha calling it out from the start doesn't matter at all in the end but Samantha is thanking him like he's a hero when she saved him repeatedly. it really wipes out any semblance of respect for women from the author... Wade almost killed everyone not listening to Sam and it ends with her thanking him for....what exactly? she already used the ONI to help her foundation so it's not like she didn't recognize the benefits. It really made Wade and the author seem like like they think of women as children. Then more and more repetitive nonsense about the digital copies of people . It gets sort of patronizing honestly... how dumb do you think the reader is that you need to repeat the same thing four times?

Historia
Margarita Nazarenko tells it like it is when it comes to women and relationships - and women's relationships with themselves. A qualified life coach, YouTuber and TikTok sensation, Margarita advises women not only about how to navigate relationships with men, but how to create wonderful lives with or without a relationship. Her message is straightforward: don't expect to have a great life if you're not creating it for yourself first.

pretty misogynistic at points
Revisado: 02-05-25
"as a woman you are more anxiously attached" I'm paraphrasing, but this book is full of sexist tropes like this. I guess she never dated a man who is anxiously attached? Some of the messages are ok but there's a lot of nonsense going on in this woman's head. She certainly doesn't think much of the women she claims she's trying to "help". I guess anyone talking about feminine and masculine energy is probably a bit sexist but gee - there's quite a few terrible points in this book.

hilarious with high production value!
Revisado: 03-24-23
Simpsons creators need to make more audio books. This was something else entirely, I laughed a lot while listening and it's not so cheesy it makes you cringe. It's very real feeling, even for being totally out there (just like the Simpsons). Good job to all involved!!
