Good Cellaru! Its finally on Audible.

I love Tipsy Pelican Tavern and was eagerly awaiting book 5 when I spotted that book 1 had come out in audio format, with a fancy new cover. August seeds there story with subtle world building and characters that are both funny and endearing. the story's mysteries keep me coming back eager for more. The comedy might come off a bit cartoonish but if you like a good loonie toons gag on occasion I can not recomend this book enough.

The Anime for you

Through out the story I felt like I was watch an anime. From the fight scenes, to character expressions, including weird cartoon logic everything gives that feel of a 90s Anime. I loved it. The plot is pretty slow but we spend a lot of the time having cute girls be charming. The narration is a force multiplier making every character more vibrant and distinct. I went straight into reading book two, which was good but I will buy again when it comes to audible. I normally enjoy stories with a lot more erotic content so I was happy to find a least one erotic scene per book.

I picked up this book for the express purpose of showing there is a market for light novels to be made into audio books.

I hope the narrator gets some more practice, the female line came out really rough.

Crawlling Kous

I did like this story but I died inside every time the narrator mispronounced chaos. Every time they say Kuroe Makoto demon name of Chaos (ˈkāˌäs ) they pronounce it Kous like in the word ciao. This is the kind of simple mistake that should have been caught in pre-production. I hope they correct this for the next installment because im looking forward to it.

Poor Game Design

Poor game design in a game lit story translates into poor world building. No amount of highly realistic feel will keep people invested. If the game is heavy on grind, combat is dull, 5 hours in and theres still no meta narrative for the game world makes for boring game to play and even more boring game to read about characters playing.

I loved Wiedergeburt. Cat girl doctor and A Most Unlikely Hero were good. Man Made God is boring.

Bland Action Movie

I think my problem with this book is that im not invested in any of the characters. Subjects V and G have little in the way of personality. In a harem story each character needs to be very unique and add something to the group dynamic.

I would recommend Good Intentions by Elliott Kay as an alternative read.
