Historia
Army CID agents Rudy Chelmin and his rookie partner, Will Spaulding, track the train's route back to Barstow, CA, and the Marine Corps Supply Depot. Before they can begin a joint-services investigation, both men come under attack by a determined and heavily armed international gang. As they try to unwrap the mystery of Kendra's death they must take out a sniper, escape from an RPG attack that levels a city block, and dodge a car bomb - and that's just the first few days. The key to finding Kendra's killer is to learn why she was killed.

New sleuthing pair has potential; great voice talent
Revisado: 05-21-20
This author is new to me and I very much enjoyed the military flavor and plot twists in this audiobook. I'm retired Army and he certainly captured the language and culture of the service. One star off for a romance that blossomed with rather unlikely rapidity.
I especially liked the narrator, Colin Ricks. I've not heard his voice before and will certainly look for more reads by him. There were a lot of voices to do in this one, including several with Hispanic accents, and I did not tire of the variety he was able to create. As I grew up near the border, it was refreshing to hear the Spanish pronounced correctly.

Historia
She used to work for the US government, but very few people ever knew that. An expert in her field, she was one of the darkest secrets of an agency so clandestine it doesn't even have a name. And when they decided she was a liability, they came for her without warning. Now she rarely stays in the same place or uses the same name for long. They've killed the only other person she trusted, but something she knows still poses a threat. They want her dead, and soon.

Gag me
Revisado: 02-23-17
Would you try another book from Stephenie Meyer and/or Ellen Archer?
No.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
Did Ellen Archer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Doesn't do male voices well.
What character would you cut from The Chemist?
The Chemist.
Any additional comments?
This book had a promising start. Then came the love scene, where the heretofore ice-cold interrogator, The Chemist, becomes some teen girl and falls for the Nice Boy she's recently tortured. Gag me with a spoon. This read like a story for lovelorn teens. Couldn't finish it.

Historia
On the snow-covered slopes of Utah, the unthinkable has just become a nightmarish reality: thirty Secret Service agents have been viciously executed and the vacationing president of the United States kidnapped by one of the most lethal terrorist organizations in the Middle East - the Fatah Revolutionary Council. But surviving agent and ex-Navy SEAL Scot Harvath doesn't believe the Fatah Revolutionary Council is responsible for the attack.

Bad guys can't shoot straight
Revisado: 03-27-13
What would have made The Lions of Lucerne better?
Believable assassins
What was most disappointing about Brad Thor’s story?
In every scene involving gunfire, so-called highly trained mercenaries spray our hero and friends with withering automatic weapons fire. . .AND CAN'T HIT A THING! And these are guys who carry out a precision abduction of the President? Do they throw grenades or use any other weapons a trained soldier would have at his disposal? Nope.
Their ineptitude is unbelievable, literally so.
Have you listened to any of Armand Schultz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, it means I won't waste any of my credits on Brad Thor's books.
Any additional comments?
I'm sorry I bought Path of the Assassin before listening to this.
