Historia
Continue the journey through the history, adventure, tension, and dangers faced by the Conquistadors, led by Hernan Cortes - the Alexander of the Americas - as they continue their epic tale of conquest against the Mexican Empire. After Cortes' expulsion from the Mexican capital on the much-lamented Night of Sorrows, the Conquistadors are reeling and their alliances crumbling. Hernan Cortes, unbowed and undaunted, refuses to give up the fight and determines to stay the course of the war against the Aztecs, and his own countrymen, to its bitter conclusion.

Historia
The massacre at Mountain Meadows on September 11, 1857, was the single most violent attack on a wagon train in the 30-year history of the Oregon and California trails. Yet it has been all but forgotten. Will Bagley's Blood of the Prophets is an award-winning, riveting account of the attack on the Baker-Fancher wagon train by Mormons in the local militia and a few Paiute Indians.

Revisado: 03-17-21
Fantastic! i relished every hour of all 3 books. didn't dilly dally over details of battles, all peripheral. i cant think of any series that gave me more than i expected going in than this did. i wish there were more books that gave me this much bang for my buck.

In the best-selling tradition of Truman, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer David Herbert Donald offers a new classic in American history and biography - a masterly account of how one man's extraordinary political acumen steered the Union to victory in the Civil War, and of how his soaring rhetoric gave meaning to that agonizing struggle for nationhood and equality.

good.

it sounded like the author and the narrator were both tired of the book and wanted to wrap it up so quickly the last 3 or so hours that it left one wanting to scream SLOW DOWN. over all i liked it but its not for anyone who has a limited interest in the man Lincoln.

i know it sounds cliche, The movie was way better
Revisado: 09-29-20
if you are one of those people who were mad as hell Peter Jackson took a mediocre piece of literature and created a masterpiece then you are a weirdo. i wanted it to be better, i was shocked and disenchanted it wasn't. RENT THE MOVIE, IT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. you will leave unsatisfied and wanting if you buy this expectingit to be betterthan the motion picture. sanitized, and over analyzed. the orator was good. i know others have criticized his performance, that guy is also a dork. the only thing i walked away with is the knowledge some folks will fight tooth and nail to hold some part of thier childhood satiating thier own lack of imagination in the imagination of others.

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

According to the Bigfoot investigator they contacted, "They aren't going anywhere." As the world gets more crowded with us, "They" are left with less and less habitat. They have learned to live in the shadows and pass through the forests by our homes.

Historia
General Stonewall Jackson was like no one anyone had ever seen. In April of 1862 he was merely another Confederate general with only a single battle credential in an army fighting in what seemed to be a losing cause. By middle June he had engineered perhaps the greatest military campaign in American history and was one of the most famous men in the Western World. He had given the Confederate cause what it had recently lacked: hope.
