Historia
Selchester Castle in 1953 sits quiet and near-empty, its corridors echoing with glories of the past. Or so it seems to intelligence officer Hugo Hawksworth, wounded on a secret mission and now reluctantly assuming an altogether less perilous role at Selchester.

A Man Of Good Repute
Revisado: 07-01-16
Almost a cozy mystery but with an edge. Just after the war where spys are in the shadows and next door.
Character development is excellent, through the story each participant grows as they try to solve a murder. Great narrator - very calm delivery. If you love old fashioned mystery with a bit of tongue in cheek - here you go. I am ready for the next one in the series.

Historia
Who doesn't love facts and random bits of information? "I did not know that" or "Teach me something I don't know!" are commonly heard phrases among people today. Along with this, the most powerful driving force behind our random browsing of the Internet or social media is the pursuit of new information. This brings me to the reason why I wrote 101 Creepy, Weird, Scary, Interesting, and Outright Cool Facts.

Nothing but wicked
Revisado: 04-10-15
Fascinating from 8-80. Science at its most bizarre and how fun. You will never look at an ant or a grasshopper the same, again. I have all of the Wicked books and audibles. Every time I read or listen to one I learn something new.

Beware! The sordid lives of plants behaving badly. A tree that sheds poison daggers; a glistening red seed that stops the heart; a shrub that causes paralysis; a vine that strangles; and a leaf that triggered a war. Amy Stewart, best-selling author of Flower Confidential, takes on over two hundred of Mother Nature's most appalling creations in an A to Z of plants that kill, maim, intoxicate, and otherwise offend.

Just in case you were sleeping in class that day, the geniuses at mental_floss magazine have put together a hilarious (and historically accurate) primer on everything you need to know---and that means the good stuff.

Historia
After years of get-rich-quick schemes, Troy Pellingham's bank account is empty and his options are down to one: take a job in his uncle's rare-book shop and spend his days working for an unpleasant man whose only redeeming quality is a mammoth bank account. Though well into his 80s, Uncle Rodney is the picture of good health, and the day when Troy will inherit the old man's money seems very far away. But then Troy gets a brilliant idea: why shelve books for a living when he can kill for a fortune?
