Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

A must read!
Revisado: 11-07-22
A must read for those who wish to understand human psychology. I found myself amazed several times at that parallels and similarities, while having vastly different experiences, between Dr. Frankel's life and our everyday lives.

Historia
So many of us today feel like we’re merely existing instead of thriving - and that’s where a purpose-oriented mind-set comes in. Living with purpose means using your gifts, in keeping with your values, to make a positive impact on the lives of others. But it’s not easy. Half the work of cultivating greater purpose in life involves facing personal and profound questions. What matters most to me? What do I value in other people, and why? What positive change do I want to see in the world?

Perhaps a good starting point?
Revisado: 08-14-22
If you've never asked yourself a single question about what your purpose in life is then this book might do you some good. Otherwise I would give it a hard pass. This book asks you very basic questions like "whats your life like now? and what do you think it might be like in 10 years?" and "what do you think your skills and talents are?" "what matters most to you?" "how do you want to impact the world?" This book is full of entry level questions and "exercises" that are of minimal substance to anyone who's looking for a more defined set of tools or guidelines to finding their purpose. What made it harder to read yet, was that this book felt like it was a compilation of other people's ideas and words, the author uses an INSANE amount of references to other literary works and anecdotes of random people you've likely never head of. Overall tough read but could be good for the fledgling explorer on self discovery.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

A Story of Sucess through failure
Revisado: 06-26-22
Loved it. This book will help you build yourself along your journey if you're ready to accept and be brutally honest with yourself. Goggins raises the question, while simultaneously serving as a testament, to what we are all capable of. It's up to us to find out.
