a story that pulls no punches
Revisado: 01-26-16
If you could sum up The Big Sky in three words, what would they be?
Honest story telling. I didn't expect to the book to be so true to life. None of the characters are sugar coated.
What did you like best about this story?
I could picture the countryside through with the way the story flowed.
What about Kevin Foley’s performance did you like?
His story telling was matter of fact and matched the theme of the book.
If you could take any character from The Big Sky out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Jim Deacons

Historia
The year is 1823, and the trappers of the Rocky Mountain Fur Company live a brutal frontier life. Hugh Glass is among the company's finest men, an experienced frontiersman and an expert tracker. But when a scouting mission puts him face-to-face with a grizzly bear, he is viciously mauled and not expected to survive. Two company men are dispatched to stay behind and tend to Glass before he dies. When the men abandon him instead, Glass is driven to survive by one desire: revenge.

Great Performance
Revisado: 01-22-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Revenant to be better than the print version?
I do consider it better because of the talent of Holter Graham.
What other book might you compare The Revenant to and why?
The Big Sky, but I wish Holter Graham had narrated it. That book also deals with the early fur trappers. The Big Sky does have some humor.
What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He captured the tortured voice of Hugh Glass in such a way that i felt some anguish. Every character was well-developed by his vocal talents.
If you could rename The Revenant, what would you call it?
The Man, the Bear, the Gun
