Historia
Cameron Post feels a mix of guilt and relief when her parents die in a car accident. Their deaths mean they will never learn the truth she eventually comes to - that she's gay. Orphaned, Cameron comes to live with her old-fashioned grandmother and ultraconservative aunt Ruth. When she’s eventually outed, her aunt sends her to God’s Promise, a religious conversion camp that is supposed to “cure” her homosexuality. At the camp, Cameron comes face to face with the cost of denying her true identity.

Holy crap the entire way through I was completely engrossed in this book. It was so incredible! Very well written and touched upon a subject that is so incredibly important especially right now. You absolutly should listen to this book. So many sweet coming of age teen romance moments mixed in with more serious and heart wrenching events that just blended togather so well. I adored how well the author portrayed queer romance.

Absolutely a MUST read!
Revisado: 11-29-23
One of the most amazing books I've heard in a long time. it was so beautifully written, very heartbreaking yet heartwarming at the same time. It again brought to light the horrendous atrocities that history contains and reminded me just how important it is to love everyone regardless of religion, sexual identity, gender or ethnicity. i defiantly recommend reading this book! in fact I think its imperative that more people read books like these and be reminded of the horrible things humanity is capable of inflicting if we arent mindful of how we view our fellow humans. This book brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions and I'll absolitly be getting the next one.

An excellent yet heart wrenching story!
Revisado: 09-13-22
This book seriously resonates with me more so than her other fantasic books. Leo's story pulled at my heart strings so badly because I could relate to him on so many levels. I had a self harm addiction for 9 years of my life and I wish I could have had someone as understanding and caring as Maggie by my side. This book is an amazing and, in my opinion, super important story to listen to. So many people dont understand self harm and dont know how to properly deal with the situation. Thank you so much for sharing this story and I look forward to listening to even more of your stories. This is definatly a book you don't want to miss out on!

Lex, a teenage Grim Reaper, has the power to damn souls - and it’s getting out of control. Her boyfriend, Driggs, is dead - sort of. She’s a fugitive, on the run from the maniacal new mayor of Croak and the townspeople who want to see her pay the price for her misdeeds. Uncle Mort rounds up the Junior Grims to flee Croak once again, but this time they’re joined by Grotton, the most powerful Grim of all time. Their new mission is clear: Fix his mistakes, or the Afterlife will cease to exist, along with all the souls in it.

This was one of the best series I've read! The overall story grips you straight away and before you know it you are whisked away into an amazing and mysterious other world just as Lex was. Every chapter was excellent and I highly recommend this series!
