Historia
To eight-year-old Bela, her family is her world. There’s Mommy, Daddo, and Grandma Ruth. But there is also Other Mommy, a malevolent entity who asks her every day: “Can I go inside your heart?” When horrifying incidents around the house signal that Other Mommy is growing tired of asking Bela the question over and over, Bela understands that unless she says yes, her family will soon pay. Other Mommy is getting restless, stronger, bolder. Only the bonds of family can keep Bela safe, but other incidents show cracks in her parents’ marriage. The safety Bela relies on is about to unravel.

Narrator is amazing, and made a crappy story with characters I hated - into a listen I couldn’t turn off.
Revisado: 11-21-24
Characters were unbelievably mean and self centered. I hope to never read this author again.

Historia
If Tipsy Collins learned one thing from her divorce, it’s that everyone in Charleston is a little crazy - even if they’re already dead. Tipsy, a gifted artist, cannot ignore her nutty friends or her vindictive ex-husband, but as a lifelong reluctant clairvoyant, she has always avoided dead people. When Tipsy and her three children move into the house on Bennett Street, she realizes that some ghosts won’t be ignored. Till death do us part didn’t pan out for Jane and Henry Mott, who have haunted the house for nearly a century.

Loved how the author highlighted historic information but allow for it to take over the storyline.

AI or live narrator? hard to tell.
Revisado: 09-07-24
Couldn't follow the story because the narrator sounded like a really good AI voice. Inflections in all the wrong places. I understand Southern dialect, as I am from the South - but I had to rewind and re-listen multiple times. Decided to return after 2 chapters. I will read the kindle version instead. Sorry Johanna.

Difficult listen. Will continue because I love the author’s wit and genius, but will ultimately prefer a written version.

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

James is better at narrating… but you gave it a good effort!! Why do I have to use 15 words minimum?

Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Not easy to visualize the fight scenes
Revisado: 11-05-23
I loved Lee’s descriptive fight scenes - I used to feel like I was making those punches and elbow jabs and forehead butts. Now I have to rewind 2-3 times just to set the scene in my mind. Also the narrator used the same inflections on most of the characters so I had a hard time knowing if that was the girl or Reacher with the semi-witty comeback.
I’ve never given a lowly 3-rating for Reacher, I have every book written by Lee- but I’m debating purchasing the next book. Sorry Andrew. You’re a good writer… but I loved the old Reacher and this guy ain’t him.
