Historia
The Everlorn Empire's grip on Thanet is tighter than ever. The God-Incarnate himself has arrived on its shores to crush the struggling rebellion and carry out his final, sinister plan: he will sacrifice the entire island in order to rise, reincarnated from its ashes. The rebellion is struggling to separate allies from enemies, and to figure out a way to stop the slow destruction of everything and everyone they care for. Meanwhile, Cyrus is disappearing deeper beneath the vicious mask of the "Vagrant". Under the mantle of the legendary assassin, he may be strong enough to take down the Empire.

Story is excellent but the narrators voices are terrible
Revisado: 06-28-24
The story was incredibly good despite the weird voices the male narrator decided to throw in. Both narrators are super slow readers and prior books. I had to speed up the tempo, but with this one, the male narrator changed the voices of character to where they were nasally and annoying. Very strange.

Slowest narration I’ve heard
Revisado: 05-19-22
The book itself was OK, but the narrating was slow and monotone. I had to accelerate the listening speed just to bear it.

Much better than the first

After listening to the first book I knew Brian Staveley had great potential and on this book he delivered! Can't wait for what's next!

Amazing Saga
Revisado: 04-23-15
These books are some of the best I've listened to so far... They are simply captivating! Peter Brett's creativity and dark twists exceeds those of George R.R. Martin in my mind.
