did this author get paid per word? there was way too many unnecessary repeated inner monologue that just droned on and on. Vanessa was spineless and just made excuse after excuse for this one-dimensional rude man. I did not feel any type of Slow Burn just complete boredom and a risk of breaking my eyeballs if I rolled them any harder. I got 2 hours in and the thought of listening to 14 more made me want to poke my ears out

about half way through the book I started to be annoyed with the heroine. By the end I couldn't stand her. The man bent over backwards and all she could think is how done to she is. rolls eyes.

I can't even finish this book. I am actually hoping he dumps her and walks away. No decent man is going to continue to get kick over and over by this whinie pathetic woman. So annoying. I loved the Winston's and really hoped I'd like this series as much. Now I'm not going to read any of the rest
