This is a book that flips your reality upside-down with easy-to-follow research and real-life personal stories to support counter-intuitive conclusions. This is research and not a novel meant to entertain. The narration is top-quality allowing students, and those of us who were students a very long time ago, to revisit what we thought we knew. Well done.

Ravenhill's book is worth struggling through the narration. I do not know what the narrator was trying to accomplish with his continual weeping voice. Certainly, the book has bits where this voice would emphasize Ravenhill's intent in a dramatic way that is possible on audio books. However, weeping from cover to cover diluted any prospect of this.

Much has been said about the wonderful ability of Dr Heiser to turn hard concepts into very enjoyable reading. Dr Greenhill has also received accolades for his ability to make a book fascinating through his theater and knowledge of ancient languages. My reason for adding a comment is to emphasize the importance of these two scholars working together to bring a masterpiece into our world.
