Good book, but not a thriller

An hour too long and bloated

The story was interesting to start but the main character is pathetic and never redeemed his self. The story drug on about an hour too long and even though the end wraps things up, it's messy and failed to leave a feeling of satisfaction other than the obvious, it was over and not coming back.

Fun story, great telling

A simple tale but a really fun adventure. Good story, plot, and an open ending leaving room for more. I liked all of the characters and can easily see more tales with plenty of room for character development. The accents were spot on and enjoyable to listen to. I look forward to more.

Interesting approach to horror

Interesting story, good main character and good performance. There's A LOT going on and can be hard to keep up. I'm a big horror fan and feel like you HAVE to be one to follow along. There are lots of characters but not enough story about any of them and it makes them feel insignificant, just there to get yhe main character from one place to the next. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I want to read more from this author.

a great untold story

This was the music of my youth and I never knew how it began or heard of Sue Brewer. That last is a damn shame. What a great story and performance by all. It had me in tears and I'm so glad I was finally invited to the Boars Nest and got to meet the famous Sue Brewer.

The story is original and captivating, like no haunted house story you have ever read! Lots of twists and turns. A fun Rollercoaster! The characters are great and the narrator is great, I could "see" each character. A bit gruesome at times so beware if your squeamish! This should be Mike Flanagans next project, I want to see this movie!
